The whole pokemon world was in shock as one of the lead pokemon researchers Professor Oak was arrested. After the initial shock wore off the majority of the world were appalled by what the Professor had done. His research practices were questioned as well. How many times had he lied and got away with it. No matter how long he and his lawyers tried to prove his innocence.

His lab was taken away from him and given to Professor Cedric Juniper to look after, until someone with enough experience can properly take over. He was given a life sentence with a small chance for parole for accounts of framing and pokemon cruelty. Though with what happened the chance was slim to none.

Currently Ash was on his way to Pewter city. He was planning to battle his former friend to a Gym battle to actually earn it this time. That and he wanted to prolong going home to get his badges for as long as he could. Home? That may have been where he grew up most of his life but that place was no home. Out of everyone, Ash had expected his mother to have his back. But her rejection stung the most because of her promise to always have his back no matter what.

That's right. That place was no longer his home. The guild was his home now and the friends he had now were definitely loyal. Even without his aura sense he could tell that. With them he could relax.

Speaking of relaxing, he was so relaxed he didn't even sense as a familiar pokemon jumped on him.

"Whatcha thinking about Ashie?" Zinnia asked.

"How lucky I am to have such good and caring friends." he replied.

"Awww. We all feel the same about you. I mean if it wasn't for you, I probably would have never gotten this far this quick."

"You could have but it would have just taken a little bit more effort."

"Maybe but it would be a lot harder to build up confidence without someone there to trust. It's true I had Spring but with you and everyone else. Well it's nice to have so many pokemon having my back you know?"

"Yeah. Oh, look, the clouds are clearing. You can finally see the stars!"

"You were right they do look a little different than the ones near the guild. They still look pretty though."

"Yeah they do. Hey you ready for a battle tomorrow?"

"Yep. You know it. We are going to crush the perv tomorrow. Then he will see how wrong he was. I hope he likes rocks flying in his face."

"Pfftttt. You always know what to say to make me laugh. Am I that readable?"

"To those of us that know you, yes. Anyway it's time to get some sleep. Night Ash."

"Goodnight Zinnia."

Welp, I finally got a chapter up. I just wish I had a bit more time and inspiration. Then I could write more chapters a head of time. At least some time sick gave me enough chance to write this much at least. Though I wasn't that sick I still kinda self isolated in the room of my own house just incase though it seems like that won't be too much of a problem any more because it looks like both my dad and brother are sick now too soo probably back to chores with me then
