Brad's POV
It took a while until Aren picked up. We prepared ourselves for the video call as Aren's holographic image popped out of the table. We haven't called Aren for a long time ever since we moved to Cambridge. Also because we haven't been able to fall into a storage closet and enter headquarters. Even though the Zodiac College of Cambridge is Zodiac headquarters.
Aren: Hi guys.
Brad: Hi Aren.
Aren: What's up? Why are you calling me? Also, you made friends with your new roommates.
Zach: Better, Zoe and I found a new boyfriend.
Aren: Who?
Zoe: Zach's boyfriend is Ryan, as in Ryan Lofhouse and my boyfriend is Henry.
Aren: Cool.
Brad: And lately we've been doing research surrounding an imposter. The imposter is one of our teammates, Roman.
Aren: Why is Roman the imposter?
Connor: Because he was the one behind the anonymous letter telling us to move to Cambridge. He was a dark spirit in disguise of a light spirit.
Aren: What dark spirit?
James: Caligula.
Danna: I noticed Roman being off when we were still in the academy and yet you won't listen. Still don't believe why everyone I know is being a bit oblivious around Roman.
Brad: I'm not, my psychological powers know exactly what's going on.
Danna: How cool.
Aren: Oh, I didn't know that a dark spirit could be one of the maddest emperors in Roman history.
Brad: Also, I heard that Roman was going to spy on us because he needs to tell other dark spirits about our moves. Remember that Zodiac heroes should be kept secret?
Aren: Yeah. The goal of the dark spirits is to expose the light spirits to the public. That's why we should always be kept secret.
Luke S: Wait, that's also part of the code.
Calum: How do you know that?
Eddie: We learnt about the code while we were in the academy. That was before we knew that we'll join your team.
Luke H: That's cool.
Aren: What else is Roman planning?
Brad: We dunno anything else so far. But we're going to have a battle with him tonight where we'll get to know him as a dark spirit.
Aren: Good luck with that. You need to get to know the dark spirit when you first encounter them.
Troye: Hey, like our first battle between us and Chase while we were in New Zealand.
Aren: You're right.
That's when our amulets started beeping which means we have to head to the cafeteria. I ended the call right there as we went downstairs from the dorms to the cafeteria. Once we went outside, the sun is already setting so we have to hurry to the cafeteria because it might be overcrowded with a lot of Zodiac heroes. Even though the population of Zodiac heroes is only a minority.
Calum: Ugh, why are we running?
Michael: And carrying 14-year-olds is harder than carrying 5-year-olds while running like emus.
