Chapter 1

The night Fang left was the night I lost my ability to do anything and I mean anything. I couldn't fly , I couldn't (wouldn't ) eat , I didn't get out of bed not even if my sister ,Max , made my favorite dinner or breakfast.

Now I still didn't have any ability to do anything, I know the rest of the flock was worried about me but I didn't care. I mean what do you expect me to do? I lost the guy I loved so much it's not that I can just get over him in a matter of weeks. I wanted to go and find him as soon as I found the note he had left for the flock and me, but he had asked me not to so I stayed at home.

Now 2 years later, I was sitting at my desk in my sister and I's room when someone knocked on the door. "Who is it?" I said softly.

"It's me," Max said through the door. "Can I come in?"

"Yeah." I replied.

She opened the door and stepped inside then closed the door behind her. "Lynn how long are you going to be like this? What would Fang say if he saw how you were acting?"

Mentioning Fang was Max's mistake "MAX, STOP NOW!!!!" I screeched. "You have no idea the kind of pain I'm in!!" With that I threw open the window and jumped out of it and snapped my wings out. I could hear her call out my name as I flew away from our house. As I flew I began to remember what Fang had written in the note and one sentence in particular stood out in my memory.

"If in twenty years I'm still alive I'll meet you in the place where we first met the hawks." I turned towards the east and made my wings flap harder that way I picked up speed.

About twenty minutes later, I came to the cave where the flock and I had first met the hawks that had once helped us against the white coats. I landed silently on the ledge and turned around to look at the view I had once looked at with Fang standing behind me.

"How the days flew by when we were last together. " I said to myself out loud.

"Yeah you're right Lynn." Came a voice from behind me. I whirled around and was surprised to see Fang standing there.

"Fang!!!!!" I cried and threw my arms around him. He put his arms around me and kissed the top of my head. "I've missed you so much Fang." I sobbed into his shirt.

"I've missed you a lot too, Lynn." Fang told me, his voice cracked.

I looked up at his face, to my surprise he was crying. "Oh Fang!" I stood on my tip toes and kissed his lips. We stood there kissing each other for about ten minutes then we ended the kiss. He put his forehead against mine. Our hair mingled with each others.

"I'm so happy to see you again , you don't know how much pain I've gone through." I told him my tears falling down my cheeks and on to his shoes. He put his right hand on my face and kissed my forehead.

"I can imagine Lynn, believe me I know how that must have hurt." Fang got this pained look in his eyes. "I didn't mean to hurt you Lynn, I swear." I kissed him then hugged him.

" I know , I know." I looked at his face again. "Are you going to come home with me today?" Fang thought for a minute then nodded.

"But let's go back slower okay?" He said his eyes shining with laughter.

I laughed out loud "Sure Fang!" We looked out to the sunset together. "But we had better stay here for the night then go home." I told him. After he laughed he nodded in agreement with me.
