Chapter 1

I never knew this one day at the carnival would change our lives forever. Possibly taking our lives.

Light peeked through my curtain, blinding me. Pushing the itchy blankets off me, I slipped on my fluffy slippers and stumbled out of my room. My mum is in the kitchen cooking something sweet, my brother is sprawled out on the coach, the tv on the morning news and my little sister is playing cards with my dad.

"Morning Rose." Said my mum whilst glancing up at me, then looking back down at the stove

"Morning." I grumbled. I flopped down onto the couch next to Matthew, I started watching the news but then I got bored and went to my room.

I picked up my phone, miss call from Riley, Riley is my best friend. I picked up my phone to call her back.

She answered on the first ring.

"Hey Rosie,"
"Hey,"
"Guess what!"
"What?"
"I got tickets for the carnival down at the fields for your family, my family and Summers family!"
"Omg! I'm so excited!"
"Let's meet at the mall today, Summer is going to come, we can chat about it and pick an outfit to wear at the carnival."
"Ok, what time, 11?"
"Ok, I'll see you then."
"Bye."

I walked out of my room, a grin spread across my face.

"Hey guys guess what, Riley brought our family, her family and Summer's family tickets to the carnival!"
"Yay!" My family cheered
"Ok it's in two days, I'm going to the mall with Summer and Riley today at 11."
"Ok."
