The train halted to a quick stop, You begin to gather your things. Luna, Ginny, and Neville got up in unison as soon as the wheels stopped moving and exited.  Did I overreact? Maybe, but all I know is that I'm sick of people always making me remember things I want to forget.  You reassured yourself hoping it would make you feel better about acting the way you did. So yeah, maybe I did go a little far but i'm sure they'll understand later, for now, you have to focus on getting on the mud track with someone since the people you were hoping to go with don't seem to pleased with you right now.

You took your luggage and exited, Draco's rude remarks echoed through your ears as he stood behind you smirking his sly smile. You meet with Harry, Hermione, and Ron on the mud track. Hagrid's faint voice can be heard in the background calling out to first years.

"Firs' years! Over 'ere!" Hagrid exclaimed, signalizing his hands in a waving motion behind him. Checking his back every second to make sure everyone was still following him.

"Hullo!" Harry greeted with a warm smile, "You alright, do you need any help?" He added.

"I'm fine!" You huffed. " Why is everyone-"

"I erm meant with your luggage." He replied awkwardly, pointing to the suitcase that laid at your side.

"Oh, I- I'm so sorry, It's just everyone has been. No, I'm fine, thank you though." You reply. You felt your face glow bright red as your suitcase hit the bottom of the cart.  You hated yourself at that very moment as you stand there awkwardly.

"No worries, oh hey Herm? You coming?" Harry asked, looking over my shoulder to Hermione who struggled to get her large suitcase into the cart.

"Yes, I'm coming," She replied. "Come on Ron- stop eating!" She snapped, slapping Ron's turkey sandwich out of his hand.

"Bloody Hell Hermione! Are you mad?" Ron spat. Looking at the sandwich that laid in the mud helplessly. He sighed as Hermione took his arm and practically dragged him to where Harry stood.

The three jumped into the cart together and began moving by invisible energy pushing it along the track leaving you to stand alone like a total idiot. Great, who am I going to sit with now?   You questioned.

'Y/n, stop standing like a bozo and sit here!" Blaise shouted, his hands cupped around his mouth like a microphone. It felt as though he read your mind.

Oh no, no, please. I can't sit with Malfoy and his little girlfriend!  You squint your eyes hoping to wake up from this awful nightmare, just as you thought your day couldn't get worse.

"Don't come running now." Malfoy's voice echoed through your ears like ringing alarms, as he laughed.

You turn around to face them, Malfoy had a smirk on his pale face as he looked at you up and down like some sort of museum exhibit.  You enter the cart sitting next to Blaise who looked over at you leaning in close to your ear.

"Don't listen to them, okay?" He whispered.

You nodded.

"Bet you look at that! Pathetic half blood, joining the party.  What's wrong? Too much for you?" He smirked.

"Piss off Malfoy." You huffed. Making direct eye contact with his deep blue filled eyes. In some way they mesmerized you, You hated it.

"Ooo, feisty one you are." He replied,  "Didn't know daddy had such an influence on you" He added, looking over to Parkinson who was laughing uncontrollably.

That was it, your chest felt like it was about to burst with flames at any moment. As you clench your jaw ready to snap.

"Maybe if he put more attention he wouldn't be hospitalized would he?"

"That's enough Draco-" Blaise began to say, but his words drowned out with yours.

"No, let him say whatever his little heart desires. Not that he even had one to begin with. Maybe if you stopped worrying about everyone else's parents you would realize yours are more screwed up." You snap. Pansy had an expression of shock on her face, as her jaw swung open.

Malfoy jumped out of his seat, Scrunching his nose as he towered over you.  He leaned in close to your face grabbing your chin aggressively his cold rings against your face felt like ice burning through your flesh.

He whispered angrily. "Don't you dare talk to me that way, my father and mother are none of your concern." His cold breath brushed against your ear canal, sending shivers down your spine.

"Draco, don't let that whore get to you," Pansy said, grabbing Draco's arm.

Draco released your chin and sat down clenching his fists.

You felt proud of yourself, although that interaction had to have left a bruise on your chin, you didn't seem to care, he finally got a taste of his own medicine.  You repeated to yourself trying to hide your smile.

After a few moments of awkward silence, the cart slowed down. The castle could be seen in the distance. It was just as beautiful as it had always been every year.

The sound of the first years in awe can be heard from afar. The sounds of their shock triggered a memory in your core. You could remember your first time here at Hogwarts,  Blaise and yourself got sorted into your houses. It was one of the worst days of your life, with Blaise in Slytherin and yourself in Gryffindor, you had no one else until Neville came and sat beside you. His glowing eyes and big smile made you feel comforted.

"Hello, I'm Neville Longbottom!" The boy smiled. Holding his hand out for you to shake.

"Y/n Williams," You sniffled, wiping away your tears taking hold of his hand. He squeezed yours tight but not too tight, the feeling of his hand taking hold of yours gave you hope of making new friendships. Neville released his grip and looked over to the remaining students getting sorted.

You took a deep breath, allowing the oxygen to fill up your lungs with fresh air, which to you resembled a great meaning of happiness. As you breathed out you felt the negative energy that had taken up your thoughts wisp away like smoke escaping the space of a candle. You felt at ease looking at the School, it reminded you of a place filled with joy despite all of the unfortunate recurrences with people you shall not name. More specifically a blonde-headed ferret that sat right across from you at that very moment.  You decide not to take the mind of it and refocus your attention to the boats that laid ready to be occupied on the still water.

The cart stopped suddenly causing your whole body to stop with it. You take hold of your luggage as you walk over to the boats. You get into the first one your eyes travel to and take a seat. The boat swayed in the water slowly. A few unknown faces hopped in with you in which you greeted them with a small smile. A young blonde head with a huge camera and another young brunette headed girl who appeared to have freckles dispersed throughout her face.

You begin to take hold of the cold wooden paddle and drag it across the dense water sending ripples through the water. The boat moved slowly away from shore as you tried to keep pace with the others ahead of you. The young boy made a few short remarks you paid no mind to.  At last, after what felt like miles of rowing you arrived at the shore of the castle, you joined the crowds of students up the stairs of the castle entering the Great Hall. Floating candles took space in the air, as the ceiling displayed million of stars with soft colors of all variations, blue, pink, and purple were just some of the many. The tables were decorated with welcoming letters and beautifully designed cloths that gave the attraction of a soft type of cloth.

This moment was when you realized, you arrived home.
