Chapter 2
I should probably let them know I’m okay I thought absently, listening to the growing panic inside my friends’ voices. I hated to hear them so worried, but I’d only ‘fainted’ so that I could figure out the situation I was now currently in.
"You should probably open your eyes now," he whispered, their face in my hair. He sounded amused. I frowned. How was me fainting amusing to this guy? Ass. It irritated me that I was still in his lap, but I couldn’t move without everyone realizing that I was awake once again. But then again, he’d probably realized that I hadn’t really fainted already.
"Yeah well if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have had this problem in the first place!" I said haughtily. I lifted my head jerkily, turning around in his lap to face him full on. The murmuring I had heard before stopped suddenly, as everyone realized that I was “awake” now.
“RAVE-“
“WE-“
“WERE-“
“SO-“
“WORRIED-“
I held up my hand for them to stop, already gaining a head ache. Today was so not my day. I turned to my relieved but still shocked friends, glaring.
“What,” I started; pointing to the guy that I still didn’t know the name of,” is this about?”
They all looked around at each other nervously, waiting for each other to speak. Mmhm. They knew they were in for a tongue lashing from hell.
“Babe, maybe you should sit down-“Kingsley started bravely, gesturing to me to a seat. I glared him down. He flinched.
“Sit down?! SIT. DOWN?! I will not sit down! Not until you EXPLAIN to me what in the actual hell is going on here!” I growled at him. How dare he tell me to sit down at a moment like this!
The guy I’d been chilling on rose to his feet. Hot damn. He was a good 6’ 4”! With dark, curly hair to his shoulders, violet colored eyes, and beautiful light caramel colored skin. He was… hot. I narrowed my eyes at him. Dick face. He smirked, realizing that I was checking him out, and spoke.
“’What in the actual hell’?” He said, quoting me. “So what is wrong with the other hell? Is it fake?” I glared at him. Oh, his personality was shit. That gave me an advantage,
I was short, a mere 5’ 2”, with pitch black hair to my shoulders and deep caramel colored skin. The only attribute that I actually liked about myself was that I had the oddest colored eyes-Amber. A yellowish-gold color with rust colored highlights. They were weird as hell, but the only thing interesting about me. I spoke once again, addressing Mr. Mean.
“No, the other hell isn’t fake; but you sure as hell are!”
“Woah sweetheart, you don’t even know me!” I frowned at him.
“I don’t need to know you! I know your kind,” I said, getting in his face. I stuck my finger in his face. “And I know that you are the most incompetent, mean, unruly-“ I stopped.
What the fuck? I thought to myself. How am I even judging him? I just met him! This was weird. I knew that he really hadn’t done anything to me, but inappropriately sit me in his lap, but even that wasn’t a crime. I sighed.
“Sorry,” I whispered, looking up at him with puppy dog eyes,” I didn’t mean to judge you without getting to know you…” He looked like a deer caught in headlights. I chuckled. Ha, he had no chance against my puppy dog eyes, and everyone knew it. They were gold-literally.
