Lucy continued towards the archery field while I returned to the tent to grab my weapons. It was a quick stop and by the time I reached them, Susan had just finished setting up. Lucy stood beside her sister and I watched as Susan took aim. When she released the arrow, it hit the edge of the black ring. She frowned at the action but Lucy smiled. I smiled too because it was pretty good for her first time. Susan had plenty of time to get better and she wasn't off to a bad start. She had at least hit the target and apparently didn't need help figuring out how to wield the weapon.Or perhaps she had received that advice earlier while I was doing something else.

Lucy took out her dagger as I set my things up. As I got ready to fire an arrow, I remembered what Father Christmas told me. If I trusted in the bow I would not easily miss; he had told Susan the same thing. So I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and calmed down. After a moment of convincing myself that the bow would help me, I opened my eyes and released the arrow. It landed right in the middle of the target.

I smiled, glad that it had actually worked, and looked at the other two. They both smiled at me, seeming surprised as well. Then Lucy held up her arm and in a wide arc, threw her dagger at Susan's target. It hit the target right in the middle as well. Susan and I both looked at her shocked while she just giggled. Susan and I practiced shooting a few more arrows—after Lucy removed her dagger of course. Each shot got better and we grew more confident.

Before we could shoot another round of arrows, we were interrupted when Peter and Edmund rode up. Edmund rode a brown talking horse while Peter rode a white unicorn. It was strange sight to see because unicorns were rare. Aside from that, talking horses—and centaurs as well—didn't usually allow anyone to ride them. Perhaps royalty was an exception. The two brothers were practicing their sword-fighting on horseback.

I could hear what they said, but I wasn't sure if the sisters could.
"Come on Ed! Swordpoint up like Orieus showed us," Peter lectured.
"En garde!" Edmund replied.
"Now block!" Their swords met with a clang of metal-against-metal.
"Hey!" Edmund yelled though I didn't know why.

Mr. Beaver came running up to them. "Peter! Edmund!" Mr. Beaver shouted.
Edmund's horse reared, almost dislodging his rider. "Woah, horsey!" Edmund reprimanded, obviously not knowing it was a talking horse.
"My name is Phillip," the horse snorted his disdain.
"S-sorry." Edmund stammered out his apology while I tried not to laugh.
"The Witch has demanded a meeting with Aslan. She's on her way here!" Mr. Beaver told them, almost breathless.

Everyone grew serious at his statement. The two brothers glanced at each other before turning around and urging their horses back the way they had come. I looked at Susan and Lucy before hastily picking up my weapons and running towards Aslan's tent. The two girls were close behind me. When we reached it, the five of us made our way to the front of the crowd, wanting to see what was going on. All the Narnians in the camp had gathered around the Aslan's tent, knowing as I did that they would meet there. Aslan sat on the ledge in front of his tent, tail flicking occasionally as he waited.

A black dwarf—a term we used to determine which side they were one—was marching through the camp shouting.
"Jadis! Jadis! Queen of Narnia!" the dwarf shouted to the crowd
"Go away Witch!" someone from Aslan's side shouted.
"Empress of the Lone Islands!" the black dwarf continued, ignoring the protests and shouts from the others.
"You don't belong here! Go away!" someone else responded.

The Witch was carried in on a chair that was held by four cyclopes. Aslan stood up on all four paws to face her as she got closer. When they set her down, the Witch stood up. She stalked towards Aslan, but her eyes found Edmund and she stared at him until she came to a halt. Only then did she look at Aslan.
"You have a traitor in your midst, Aslan," she announced.
