My grandmother is the one who actually taught me about shifting about a year ago. I didn't believe her and thought she was crazy and going insane because she was getting old. But obviously, when I started researching more and learning more about it I was able to believe her. After 3 ish months of trying to shift, I finally got it. Ya girl was obsessed with Gilmore girls at that time and that is where I first shifted.

After I got the hang of shifting and was able to shift really whenever I put my mind to it ( taking breaks after every shift ofc). I then made a Hogwarts dr. I have loved Hogwarts since I was like 8 so I just had to shift there. I was obsessing over shifting to Hogwarts that it actually took me a good 3 weeks to fully shift. What I mean by fully shift is sometimes when we shift it can only be for seconds before we unintentionally shift back out of nowhere. That happens a lot to me and it probably happens to a lot of people who shift.

The methods I use are a combination of raven and Estelle. I basically go through the whole Estell method and then when I am in the white room I start counting to 100.

I meditate throughout the day and before I shift. I Find Athena's guided meditation really helpful.

Also, TAKE BREAKS. I can't stress this enough. Shifting is tiring and uses up a lot of your energy. On your first shift try not to be there for so long, it might be tempting but trust me it will spare you the pain.

Lmk if you guys want motivation posts or storytime bc trust me there are a lot!
