Azure was packing up for the trip, trying to ignore Rufous complaining from behind him.
"Azure, it's dangerous! At least let me go with you!" Rufous said, worried for him.
"Rufous, I'm going with Eterna, the captian of our army! My stars, you worry too much!" Azure huffed out, turning and pouting at his boyfriend.
Rufous let out a soft scoff, blushing faintly as Azure stood. The two had been very close and honest with each other, and had only fought once or twice before. Azure walked over and gently held Rufous's large hands. "Rufous.. you know I'll be safe.." He said quietly, intertwining their fingers. Rufous felt his face heat up more, but looking down at Azure he knew he was being completely honest.
"Fine.. but promise me you'll be back, okay?" Rufous said quietly.
He gently took Azures hand and placed kisses along the smallers knuckle. Azure blushed and giggled softly, nodding. Rufous soon let his hands go and looked at what Azure had been packing, seeing he'd packed enough for at least a week. He felt a pang of sadness, wondering how long he'd actually be gone.

Cross was pacing around the small temple. Nightmare had gone off and left him alone, of course. Cross sighed heavily, sitting against the wall. Did Nightmare know how he made him feel? Did Nightmare realize the power he had over him? Cross looked at the wall. Had Cross ever felt this way about anyone else? He thought about it, then remembered. Yes, he had..
After Nightmare had been entrapped years ago, there had been another.. Cross rested his eyes, remembering. Soft yellow eyes glowing in the dark, his smile and chuckle as he looked at Cross. Sharp teeth digging into his neck, soft yet firm hands tracing down his body, making him feel something he'd never felt since.. Cross tried to push the thoughts away, a blush covering his face, but they were already rushing back...

"Hey, are you sure you should be out here alone?" A smooth voice cooed from above him.
Cross huffed and looked up into a tree, seeing the vampire sitting there, his golden cape shimmering in the moonlight.
"Im not alone, I have a stalker here to make sure I'm not in danger." He called back, making Dream laugh and jump down.
Dream was always filled with laughter and warmth, almost the complete opposite of Nightmare. After Nightmares entrapment, Cross had been alone, all the other followers killed or in hiding. That's when he had met Dream, a vampire who was always kind and understanding. Cross had never been one to talk to or even look at vampires, but Dream.. he was different.
Dream approached Cross and looked down at him calmly, being shorter than Nightmare but still taller than Cross.
"Now, Cross, is there any reason you wanted to see me out here tonight??~" Dream hummed softly, putting a finger under Cross's chin.
"You know why.." Cross muttered, his face growing even more flustered as Dream backed him up against a tree.
Dream knew exactly what he wanted, and of course he couldn't resist when Cross looked up at him like that. He pinned Cross against the tree and kissed him deeply, making Cross shudder and kiss back. Cross needily opened his mouth and Dream slid his tongue in, exploring every last corner. Dream pressed himself against the smaller, and could feel how needy the smaller was.
Slowly, Dream made his way to Cross's pants, pulling away to look at his partner and see the way he reacted. Cross's eyes were half lidded, his face covered in a blush as he wrapped his arms around Dreams neck, his ecto body already formed for him. Dream smirked at that and slid a hand into Cross's pants before starting to-

"Cross!" Nightmare snapped, standing over him.
Cross flinched in surprise and quickly stood, an opaque blush covering his face.
"Y-yes, my king??" He said, trying to calm himself.
Nightmare began to ramble off about his plans, and Cross only half listened. His memory was interrupted, and it left him feeling hollow. He hadn't realized it before, but maybe he was missing something.. and maybe that something wasn't actually Nightmare.

Encre worked quietly, the only sound in the room being the soft scratching of her pencil on paper. She was working on an idea for her next painting, humming softly as she worked on a few sketches. Her thoughts were interrupted by a gentle knock, and she looked to the door. Fallacy stood there, smiling softly. Encre smiled happily and stood to greet him. He held out his arms and she rushed over for a hug. She snuggled close to him, his warmth seeming to engulf her. He gently pet her and she giggled softly, looking up to him. He couldn't hold back a faint purr at his lovers expression, and gave her a gentle kiss.
They separated after only a few moments, and Fallacy frowned, remembering why he came up here.
"Encre, my love, I fear I have some.. not so great news." He murmured gently, looking down at her.
"What do you mean?.." she asked softly, one of her eyes shifting to a blue question mark.
"Well... did you ever hear the story of the werewolf king Nightmare?"
"Of course, it always scared me.. I hated that story when I was younger. But why bring it up?" She asked, confused as she looked into her lovers eyes.
"Well, my dear.. it wasn't just a story. It had much truth to it, and now.. the werewolf king Nightmare may have returned."
