I don't know why I asked him that...

"um okay..." chan gets up and follows him out the door.

felix gets a mask and a hat and he puts it on, while chan puts on a mask and sunglasses.

"where are you going?" the sound of miseok's voice makes them turn around.

"I'm going out and chans coming too"

"no no no, I won't allow that" she says.

"why not?" chan asks.

she makes a face and sighs.

"really? you're asking me that? there's dispatchers outside! they'll follow you around, they won't leave you alone, they'll spread rumors like wildfire"

"right..." chan looks down.

"I'm sorry you can't go with him chan" she says and chan nods.

"it's fine"

"okay, felix go now and chan will meet you in 5 minutes" she says, they both look at her.

"did I stutter? go" she says, felix nods and leaves the building.

5 minutes pass and she lets chan leave the building to catch up with felix.

felix hears footsteps and he turns around to see chan.

"so how come you moved to seoul while your moms in australia?" chan asks.

"I just wanted a fresh start, away from the bullies"

"bullies?"

"yeah... I was bullied in high school because... well I guess you could say I was a nerd" he smiles shyly.

"well I don't think that's a good reason to bully someone"

"yeah I guess so. what about you? how come you moved to seoul?"

"I've always wanted to come and see what it's like. I've always been into songwriting and music so I took an opportunity and I'm happy with it, so I stayed here" felix nods.

"well that's good, not everyone is happy with their job"

"this isn't just a job for me... it's an experience"

"me too"

"really?"

"yeah... I mean it's not every day you get to be a photographer for a band" chan chuckles and nods.

why is my heart beating so fast?

felix snaps out of it when he sees his mom at the building, waving to him.

"mom! hey... let's go inside" he says and she notices chan, but waits until they get inside to pester him.

"so who's this young fellow? your boyfriend?" felix's eyes widen and he shakes his head.

"no mom! this is bang chan from stray kids" he smiles and bows to her.

"ohhh that's right you have a job as their photographer, well it's nice to meet you chan" she smiles at him.

"you as well" he says.

"so what did you want to explain to me about?" she sits down on the sofa.

"well... I'm actually no longer living here... I still have the apartment until the end of the month though"

"really? where are you now?" she asks.

"I'm actually living in the jyp entertainment building, my boss thought it would be easier and better if I moved there" she nods.

"well... that's good... I'm glad you've figured yourself out. just don't get caught hm? I'll scold you big time" she says and felix nods.

"I'll make sure of it" he says.

"how come you're here then?" she looks at chan.

"oh um... I invited him because I thought it would be... well I guess I just... well I... I don't really know I guess I just wanted someone here"

"mhm" she crosses her arms.

"what's that mean?"

"nothing" she smiles and looks away.

"it's not what you think ma'am... I assure you that"

it was a good talk between them, felix and his mom got to catch up and he told her more about chan and his job.

unfortunately, she got called back to australia for an urgent work matter before they could do anything else together while she was in seoul.

"you okay? I'm sure you're upset about your mom leaving already" felix looks at him.

"I'm fine, she always has work matters to do whenever she visits... how ironic huh" he looks down, chan puts his hand on his shoulder.

"I can tell you miss her being around, I can relate to that"

"yeah... I sometimes miss being in australia" chan nods.

"yeah me too"

"I'm glad that I have someone to speak english with" felix looks at chan.

"me too" he smiles.

they both exchange smiles, their moment gets interrupted when there's a knock on the door.

"I'm coming in" miseok opens the door.

"what's up?" chan asks.

"he wants to see you" she looks at chan, and he nods.

felix didn't make many movements, he just went blank.

why did I suddenly get nervous?
my hearts beating fast...

no I can't

his phone buzzes and he checks to see a text from his mom.

f mom: hope you're doing okay hm? next time we meet again I hope you'll bring chan again, he's great

felix: I'm fine
well
no I'm not

f mom: what's up?

felix: idk
I think I may start to have feelings for chan
but how do I know if it's feelings or not?

f mom: well here's how you'll know
you find yourself happy around him, you just want to be with him all the time, you enjoy his company, you just can always be there with him because you enjoy it more than anything
if you feel any of those then I think you like him!

felix: ...
