God has abandoned us

God has abandoned us. He's abandoned this world and has left it to rot.
I hear movement around the church, and the stench of rotting flesh is overpowering. My sisters are dead, long since fallen to this plague. I refuse to believe that God would let something like this happen, so I've concluded that he's abandoned us.
I see figures of birds through the stained-glass windows of the church-but they don't look right. One silhouette appears to be missing a wing, and another appears to be missing its legs, using its wings to move. Another lacks a beak, but still appears to have its feet.
Even more of the infected.
It affects animals and humans alike, and no matter what, it's inescapable.
The banging and scratching on the church door grows ever louder, and I back away and hide behind a pew near the very front. It's a bad hiding spot, but even if I had a good one, I'd die anyways. They can smell you, and hiding is useless. I see a horn break through the door with a crack. There's a longhorn bull amongst them, too... There is no way I can get out of this.
I pray to God, one last time, even though I know he can't hear me. Since we've been abandoned, he'll ignore our cries and pleas for help.

The door has been broken down entirely, and I hear trampling-the bull is even running over other undead and mashing them to bits beneath its hooves in order to get to me. One of them was a nun-one of my sisters. It's bumping into the pews and knocking them over, and I hear clattering. Eventually, it's right in front of me-it has no eyes, and a big chunk of its side is missing. There's blood around its mouth, and its jaw cannot seem to close-it seems broken, in fact, and is hanging all the way down, at an unnatural angle.

Good-bye, world. I hope there's still a heaven left for me to go to.
