A/N: This chapter is written in Carls perspective. Hope you enjoy!!!
A cool breeze brushed my face as I stood silently staring at my watch. The time was 10:20am and Jen told me to meet her outside The G-House at 10:00am. The G-House is short for the government house, it's where all the government officials around New Zealand work. I live in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand so all the government officials come here. It would be pointless trying to sneak inside the G-House by myself considering that there were a hundred men in a blue uniform holding gun preventing me from entering so I decided sit down on the nearest bench, fortunately the rusty old bench was right behind many huge gorse bushes that blocked their view of me.
After ten minutes of sitting on a rusty old bench I heard something rustlel in the bushes that surrounded me.
"Over here," said a whisper behind one of the bushes. "Is that you Jen," I asked in a suspicious whisper. "yes it's me, who else," she said with an attitude in her tone. After that I saw a head pop out from the bushes, she looked beautiful but I would never admit that to her just incase she didn't like me.
"Your thirty minutes late," I said annoyed that I had to sit for a while on a rusty old chair.
"Well excuse me for trying to look nice," she said patting down her hair,
"What... You care about looking nice when we are about to sneak in the G-House, anyway doesn't matter, do you have any idea how we're going to sneak in the G-House when there are about a thousand guards blocking our way."
She thought for a minute, she looked up the whole time she thought, "well another reason it took me so long to get here was because I was searching for the map of the G-house, one of my fathers friend used to work in the G-house... You know, before it got corrupted and he gave my father this map, so as I kept looking I found this," she pulled out a blue map that was rolled up. I took it from her hand and spread it out on the horrible bench I was sitting on. "This is perfect," I said very relieved. "according to the map there's a secret passage near the side of the building, there are actually four secret passages, two on the left side of the build and two on the right," I said reading the map carefully.
"Which one should we choose," Jen asked me with a serious tone.
"Well since most of the guards are protecting the left side of the G-house, we should sneak in through the right," I said unsure of what I was saying was correct.
"Alright let's think carefully," Jen answered as she popped her head out from the bush we were both hiding behind. "your right, all the guards are near the left side of the building, shall we sneak in now?"
"Now? Are you sure you want to sneak in now!" I said sceptical.
"Well I didn't clear my days schedule just to find a secret passage," she with that same attitude that I couldn't help find attractive yet annoying.
"Fine," I said in a loud voice, louder than what I thought it would be. I looked at where the map said the secret passage would be. No one seemed to be guarding that place. "on the count of three I want you to run to that secret passage," I said still sceptical.
"Are you sure," she said doubtful.
"Oh so now your sceptical, I thought you wanted to do this," I said almost amused.
"Of course I do," she said proudly. with that she started running to the right side of the G-house.
"STOP," I whispered loudly "you were supposed to wait till I count to three."
"To bad," she whispered loud enough for me to hear.
I started running as well and sooner or later we were both at the side of the building. "What the heck is wrong with you," I asked her quite angry. "you could have been arrested or even killed."
"Haven't you ever heard the proverb, All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy," she said panting. I couldn't help agree with her.
"okay let's try and find the passage by knocking on the wall," I said.
We both started knocking on the wall when finally Jen found the passage, I didn't know she found the passage until she said "we're in," in a very loud voice.
"Good job," I said patting her on the back. we both climbed inside what looked like a tunnel. I wasn't sure if what we were doing was right but for some reason I didn't stop it. we were in, we were finally in the G-house. the wall closed behind us. there was no turning back.
