When I Met You

Bridget, when I met you all I could think about was our future. A future that would hold the most for us, A future that could prove how much I love you. The moment I found out we bought you, all I could think about was how far we would go together and how we would grow as a pair. The night we went to meet you as a family I couldn't stop shaking, I was filled with so much joy to know we have a new furry friend in the family. Little Bridget, I don't know what I would do if I didn't meet you. My life is complete with you. My life feels more complete with you around. When I saw you and my mom having a lesson together and seeing all of the lunging bands on you, it was so intimidating know that you were going to be a big project for us. You had just come out of an abusive home and had no trust in anyone. When I felt your warm touch against my skin all I could feel was the pain and sadness within you. I feel so honored to have been able to gain your trust and I know, you know I would never ever hurt you or treat you the way they did in the past. My family and I will protect you for as long as you live. In the shape you were in when you first came to the barn, crushed my soul. You are the most strong, brave, confident, beautiful, and smart. I love you so much Bitchy Bridge and I hope to progress more and more in the future with you. Thank you for being my "therapist" when I need it the most, thank you for being my best friend and one whom I can trust forever and ever. You are the best thing that has happened to me and will always be. Bridget, I love you girl.

This isn't really a story about Bridget. I would say this is more of a statement and a thank you to her. I don't know what I would do without her and I love her to infinity and beyond.
