I walked closer to the ring of debris, surrounding androids. My scarf blowing in the wind. I let Tai run ahead, attracting the attention of a few androids. I could just barely hear a conversation take place, as the Tibetan mastiff jumped up to have her front paws again ya car. "There's a dog here. Seems like it wants to get inside" one of the androids said, as Tai stopped barking. "That's Tai!" I heard a familiar voice, and stopped a few meters away. Waiting.
After a minute or so, Markus climbed onto the car Tai was by. Talking to her. I slowly walked forward, which made him notice me. When I got close enough, he held his hand down for me. First, however, I managed to push Tai up, and to the other side. After she was safe, Markus helped me climb the barrier. "What are you doing here?" he asked. "First off, I can't just watch you being slaughtered when I know I could have done something. Secondly... I have nothing to lose. I know I'm risking my life, but..." I took a deep breath. "They've already taken Ralph away from me. I found him only a couple days ago... He was the only reason I had to keep living..." I continued, looking down at the snow. "I was hoping I wouldn't be too late" I added, looking back up at the android. He was about to talk, but I cut him off. "I have an idea on how we can win. Triggering the Preference Cascade in humans" I answered. "If I can start it, we may get more humans, and then even more because there's more humans. If it works, our voices will be even louder" I explained.
He nodded. "Alright. Do what you have to do" he answered, and announced to the other androids that I wasn't a threat, and am here to help. Another android, a WR400, better known as a "Traci-model" stepped forward. Her features have also been used for the BL100, so she could be of that model, but the WR400 is more common with that look. Although they do share a similar function. She kept asking Markus why they should trust a human, stating that we can't be trusted. "I took care of her when she was a kid. I know who she is, and would like for her to be referred as (Y/N) instead of just a human" Markus retorted, putting a hand on my shoulder. "I don't know what you've gone through. And I'll respect your choice to not tell me. We all have chapters we don't read aloud... but I can assure you, that I'm not here to hurt you. I'm not a spy for those behind the barrier. I'm here to help you, and hopefully save Androids from unfair slavery... and to save a friend" I butted in. A couple other androids had approached us by this point. A PL600, and a PJ500. I got the same questions again. "I'm not scared to die. The only thing that was keeping me alive and going, was taken away from me. He's in one of those camps, as we speak. I just hope I'm not too late" I answered, looking down at Tai. Who was just about ready to bite someone. "And as much as I love Tai, I'm willing to take a risk. She's my guard dog, and knows how to fight" I answered, crouching down beside her, and putting my hand on her back to make her sit. "It's her job to protect me" I added, scratching her neck. "And she'll willingly do it. I'm not forcing her to"
I wandered around, keeping myself closer to the barrier as I thought out a plan. The PJ500, as I now know as Josh, stopped me. "I didn't think any humans listened to us" he stated. "We may not be many, but we exist. At the very least, we're silenced by the haters. The loudest are always the irrational, and negative, side" I answered, sighing. "You know you could be killed-" I cut him off. "As I said before. I'm not scared to die" I retorted, looking at him straight in the eye. "Six years ago, when Ralph was attacked, I knew it wasn't fair. The way humans treat you as something you can just throw away and replace" I started, looking out over the barrier. I figured I might as well tell someone, why I'm doing this. "I've always had that opinion... but it became clearer, in a sense. I wasn't afraid to voice my opinions anymore. Even if I got attacked because of it... mostly verbally, or a sneer from whoever didn't agree with me" I continued. Pausing for a moment. "And now, I'm hoping I'm not alone" I added, looking back at the Android.
I ended up telling him about my plan to get more humans on our side. I know how I want it to look. What I want to say. I just need to find a moment to execute it. And figure out how to execute it. But I didn't get much more time to think about it, when I heard an outsider calling for Markus. Me, Josh, Simon, and North, all walked up to a small platform where Markus stood. "I've come to negotiate, isn't that what you want?" the same human said. An agent, from what I can tell from the outfit. "Why can't we talk like this? Hm?" I answered for Markus. "Why does he need to get closer to you, when you can already hear him perfectly fine?" I continued asking. He didn't answer. Just looked at me, confused. So I took the chance.
