I woke up much later than usual since it was a day off for us. Muku, Yuki and the others still have school though so I'm pretty sure they're already sent off by now. It's been a while waking up to a half empty dorm. I got out of bed, showered and got dressed in casual clothes; a loose grey T-shirt with high waisted shorts. When was the last time I had felt so relaxed ever since I was in the dorm? My entire schedule was usually packed with rehearsals, errand runs and stage shows. I was glad when Matsukawa gave us the announcement that the Mankai dorm would undergo a maintenance check to repair the leaks, cracks and broken equipment so we were all free for today to just relax and gather our senses again. I smiled contentedly before walking out to the living room downstairs.
I was met with Tsuzuru making himself an avocado toast while Kazu and Misumi were munching on cereals happily. I greeted them as I approached the kitchen and they replied with their usual energy in the morning. Tsuzuru laughed at how they were both extra hyped and cheerful today, maybe it was because today was our chill day so it brightened them up instantly. I liked how wholesome the dorm was. Omi was in his room knitting dolls and cotton mittens, Homare was in the courtyard having a poetry session with Sakuya and Citron, Hisoka was curled up in the living room couch and munching on a bag of marshmallows that Homare must have given him to prevent the white haired boy from sleeping the entire day and I could also see Tsumugi watering the plants while humming away to a tune with a satisfied smile on his face. I sipped my coffee after having made myself some waffles with berries, glad that the boys were all making themselves comfortable in the dorm in their own unique ways. I didn't really have much to do so I went to Tsuzuru and we read books together, having a few discussions about stories we've read before every now and then. Turns out that he was a fan of Shakespeare and I introduced him to Lovecraft, which made his eyes sparkle in curiosity and turn to his laptop to search for it right away. I chuckled as I gave him several recommendations of Lovecraft's stories before giving him some space to read them. Looks like Tsuzuru's going to end up occupied for the whole day now I guess, maybe I shouldn't have given him too many books to read? Well Tsuzuru has been Mankai's scriptwriter all this time so letting him read those stories shouldn't be a problem to him at all. I then realized that I had several tasks of my own so I got changed and headed out, messaging the boys that I'll be out doing errands for a while.
I took a taxi to the mall near here and visited a fashion store where I got a white bomber jacket for Hisoka in the perfect size. I'm sure he'll love it, I thought as I visited a book store and got a baking recipe book, along with other presents that I plan to surprise the boys with. I did not tell the boys where I was so it made me feel relieved. After a full 30 minutes of gift shopping, I was about to head home when out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a tall guy with shoulder-length black hair and a red jacket at a cosmetics store, gazing curiously at a stack of foundations and concealers. I then realized that maybe Yuki would be happy if I got him a few items from the cosmetics store so I bought a few products that he had said he needed once before. I didn't bother to think how there would be a guy that looks so interested in a cosmetics shop, could he be a makeup artist? He does looks handsome by a milestone so I figured he could either by a makeup artist or an idol like Tenma but I'm not going to be judging him based on looks, he could be a totally different person on the inside. I've already lived with the boys long enough to know what that's like now. Don't judge a book by it's cover is what they usually say after all.
Once I got home, I tried to get Hisoka's attention as I surprised him with the white jacket. I told him how I had specifically gotten him this color since it would remind him of a marshmallow. After saying that, he immediately took off his grey jacket and wore the new white one after taking the price tag off. It's true that the jacket matches his white wavy hair and he loved it. He really does look like one walking, talking human marshmallow. He's so cute and small I just wanted to hug him and protect him at all costs. After that, Hisoka then returned to munching on the bag of marshmallows that he still had not finished yet. Has Homare been refilling his marshmallows or something? I then went back to my room to store the bags of gifts away in my massive closet. Man, that one trip alone exhausted me. Not going to lie, it did since I had so many bags to carry and the mall was huge. Imagine being a shopaholic....yeah, not happening.
