Sans teleported Frisk back into the dorms.  The hallways weren't empty though.  Female students from Class 1-A were bustling about and everybody stopped to stare at Sans and Frisk who had just appeared right in front of her room.

"well uh, see ya kiddo," Sans says, before kissing her forehead and teleporting away.

Frisk waves hello to her classmates while opening the door to her dorm room.  She flopped onto the bed and stared up at the ceiling.  Her phone starts buzzing.

That's probably Sans, Frisk thinks to herself, taking out her phone.

The number wasn't Sans's.  It was...Papyrus's.  She tapped the green phone button.

"HELLO, HUMAN FRISK!" Papyrus shouts through the phone, cheerful as usual.

How does he know me?  Frisk asks.  Didn't I reset the timeline?

"Oh hey, Papyrus," Frisk responds, keeping her tone casual.  "What's up?"

"JUST CHECKING UP ON YOU!" Papyrus responds.  "KING ASGORE AND LADY ASGORE WANT TO KNOW HOW LIFE ON THE SURFACE IS SO FAR!"

"Life on the surface has been splendid so far!" Frisk responds.  "Sans and I got ourselves into a prestigious high school and we're managing ourselves quite well."

"THAT'S A RELIEF!  MY LAZY BONES OF A BROTHER HADN'T GOTTEN INTO ANY TROUBLE, HAD HE?"

"No, not yet at least," Frisk responds, laughing.  "May I talk to mom and dad?"

"OF COURSE!"

There was some crackling on the other end.

"Hello?" Frisk hears Asgore ask from the other side.  "My child?"

"Dad!" Frisk exclaims.  "How are you?"

"I'm doing great!" Asgore responds.  "We're all doing fine down here.  Everybody misses you.  When do you think you can come back down?"

"Uh, I have no idea," Frisk says.  "I promise I'll come visit you guys as soon as possible."

"That's nice to hear.  Hey uh, how are humans nowadays?  Are you being discriminated against?  How are they taking Sans's presence?"

So it seems that Asgore had somehow gotten Sans and I through the Barrier and up onto the Surface, Frisk thinks to herself.

"Humans are quite nice actually!" Frisk says.  "They've started using magic again, but not in the same way monsters do.  I'm not sure how it works, but their powers don't come from their souls.  Humans call them Quirks."

"Hmmm, quite interesting," Asgore replies thoughtfully.  "How about Sans?  How is he?"

"Sans is doing fine!  The humans have taken his presence quite normally," Frisk says.  "Maybe it's because they think he's still a human and his unusual body structure is because of his Quirk.  That does happen a lot amongst humans."

"Speaking of Sans, where is he?" Asgore asks.  "May I talk to him?"

"Well uh, I can't quite get to him right now," Frisk replies.  "We're living in the school dorms and there's a gender divide.  I think it's to stop any, ya know..."

"Right, right.  Well, I'll ask Papyrus to call then!  Toriel's on the phone.  She wants to talk to you."

"Alright, see you, Fluffybuns!"

She hears a soft tap to her left.  A sound similar to somebody's foot on wood.  She walks to the window on the left wall and opens the curtains.  The sun was setting, creating a beautiful afternoon sky setting.  She looks around, but sees nobody.  She just shrugs and closes the curtains.
