A/N: WARNING MENTIONS OF DEATH/DYING

Pier had prided herself on having a good memory but became frustrated with her memory when it failed to let her remember the last few seconds of the sweet life she once had.

It was over in a flash really, her brain distracted her with her most joyful memories; warm summer days in the garden with Meadow, training with her favorite knights, late winter evenings curled up by the fire with a good book and Meadow laying next to her, chasing her siblings around the castle, talking with her dad about their precious kingdom. As she was asorbed her memories Pier could feel the wind on her face and her hair hitting her face as she was free falling, helpless.

And then it was over. The memories stopped. The rush of the wind stopped. Hell, even the feeling of helplessness and dread stopped. Then it started. Even though her eyes were closed (or at least thought they were) all Pier could see was a blinding white light. She also had some ringing in her ears- then the most peculiar thing happened, she heard a muffled voice. She couldn't be sure, she was supposed to be dead after all. Then she heard it again, which was quite impossible since there was no way that Pier could've survived from that fall.

A/N: sorry for the short chapter I decided that after the last paragraph i wanted it to end, but im currently working on chapter three and its definitely longer than this chapter so far.
