Lost Boy (zianourry AU friendship/zayn hybrid)

Chapter 1

*Harry's pov*

I felt strange when I woke up this Friday morning, not like sick strange but I felt weird. I felt as if something was going to happen. It was way to calm in the massive house I live in with my three best mates, usually I wake up to running, shouting, fighting, slamming of doors, the list could go on and on but today it was just quiet.

I pulled myself out of bed and started walking to the main part of the house to see Liam sitting on the couch reading a book. Liam is the guy who takes care of us, when he sees that one of us is sick or sad he makes it his job to help us get better and he always says that he's "just taking care of his boys." Throughout our schooldays he was bullied and Louis, Niall, and I always had to watch out for him and now he's the one watching out for us.

After a while he looked up from his book smiling at me and said, "Hey Harry, how did you sleep."

"I slept pretty well but I was confused as hell when I didn't hear any noise coming from down here," I told him chuckling slightly.

"Yeah I'm surprised the other two aren't up yet causing a me-", Liam started to say right before we heard heavy footsteps and boisterous laughter coming are way. "I guess we spoke too soon" he then said with a laugh.

I looked over to see Louis and Niall walking into the living room. Louis is like a walking tornado, he leaves a mess everywhere he goes and his humor balances out his sarcastic/sassy attitude making him a delightful human being. Niall is just a bundle smiles, happiness, and cuddles, he is loud and loveable and his laugh can brighten a person's day. When you put the too together it is just a mess, they are partners in crime and love pulling pranks on us and just being mischievous little pests but we love them anyways.

"Hey Li! Hey Haz!" Niall says happily while only wearing his white boxer briefs.

"Good morning Niall, why are you so hyper and why haven't you got any clothes on?" Liam asks with and amused look on his face. Niall giggles and skips across the room jumping on Liam and says "I feel free this way Liam." All of us look around at each other and start to laugh.

We spent the rest of that morning eating and joking around until we all had to leave for work. I own a bakery down the road called "Harry's Haven" and Louis is my right hand man, Niall works at a guitar shop and gives lessons to little kids, and Liam teaches boxing classes at a local gym.

"Bye everyone!" Louis shouted as walked out of the house.

"Bye guys! How about dinner tonight at that Italian restaurant near the bakery?" Liam asks as him and Niall shuffle out of the house. We all agree before we part ways waving goodbyes.

*Liam's pov*

Finally the day is over with and I can leave work, I love my job but sometimes I hate it, I had a class today filled with a ton of little kids so I was pretty much stuck babysitting them instead of teaching. Well at least that's over and done with and I can now begin my weekend.

I'm driving to the bakery to meet the rest of the boys and go to dinner, it's like a tradition of ours to go and eat dinner together on Friday night since we were babies. Our mothers started it when they were pregnant with us and we carried it on.

I drove to the bakery and walked in, it wasn't too busy considering they were about to close. Niall is already there and is sitting in a booth and eating a muffin, I go and sit across from him.

"What's up Liam?" Niall says happily while chewing on his muffin.

"Nothing much man, but I'm starving," I told him right as the last customer leaves and Harry flips the closed sign on the door. Him and Louis both take off their aprons and walk over to us.

"Hey boys! Let's go!" Louis cheers and with that we all leave the shop and walk a few blocks down to an Italian restaurant. We spend the night laughing and talking about our day it was a great time except for when Louis decided it would be fun to start throwing Lasagna at the people in the nearby seats, we ended up being asked to leave and we didn't get to finish our food.

"Louis! What'd you do that for?" Niall asks grumpily while were walking back to our cars.

"It was funny Niall!" Louis shoots back.

"Well I didn't get to finish my food." Niall whines, they continue on fighting and soon Harry joins in. I zone them out as walk but then I hear a rustling in the alley we passed. I turn to look in here and see a small creature lurking in the shadows.

"Boys", I whisper making the other 3 turn around and walk back towards me. I point into the alleyway as the small creature starts to walk near us. I start to get a little afraid and then all of the sudden out of the shadows leaps a small tanned skin lad with black hair and big hazel eyes staring up at me. I almost "aww" at the sight of him.

"Hey buddy, what's your name?" Harry asks stepping forward a bit. The boy just smiles up at us and meows, yes meows. What the hell? The boys and I look confusedly at each other and then I kneel down so I'm at the same height as the boy and stroke his head. He purrs and then rubs his head into my hand and then I feel it, I look closer and see that he has got two cat ears and then see a tail flicking behind him.

"He's a hybrid guys" Louis points out and the rest of us gasp. It's not every day you see a hybrid where we live, just in the past couple of years have they become popular house pets and companions but mostly in America, I've only ever met one other hybrid besides this one in my whole life.

"We can't just leave him out here, just look at him" Niall says and we do. He is wearing a dirty ripped shirt and some ripped pants that are way too small for him. He is too skinny and just looks terrible. We all look at each other, communication with our eyes, weighing out the pros and cons and then decide to take him.

I start to pet him and then lift him up, he tenses at first but them relaxes into my touch and nuzzles his head into my neck. Then we start on own way home but what we don't know is that our lives will never be the same again.
