"Our Mother, Dream, continued to watch over us as we grew. She didn't tell Shard she changed the names he gave us, though. Well.. actuallyyyy, he only gave me a name. He didn't care enough about my sister and brother to name them. Dream still loved all of us equally, and would always tell us that she'd stay strong for us, and protect us always. Whenever Shard would drag me away for training to become a 'great king', Dream would look over my younger siblings. One day, however, this all changed. Shards training got too intense for my 3 week-old mind, and I reacted to pain like anyone else would- I escaped..."
Rain poured from the sky as the thunder rumbled beneath Kazi's fragile paws down to the Earth. Lightning struck across the sky in a bright light that could drown out any positive thoughts. The clouds turned a smoky black as the sky turned from day to night. Shard roared with anger as his eldest cub ran. Kazi ran past rocks, snowy lands and plains in fear. He continuously looked back to make sure that his father wasn't following. The River beside him rushed with speed as rocks chipped off the side of the ravine when Kazi stepped over them. The soft, wet mud beneath him left marks of his paws behind him. The rain washed them out in seconds.

Edit: meKazi's breathing intensified as he looked around, completely lost in the big territory. He never been this far out from the den, but the cub wasn't going to stop just because of this. He listened as the ground started to shake- the adult lions weight made the ground tremble as he chased the cub. Animals watching the scene quickly scurried away in fear.
"Get back here you rugrat!!!" Kazi shook with fear as the cold rain dripped down his fur onto the ground. He turned back to look at Shard, but didn't see the root in front of him- he tripped and rolled over onto some loose rocks. Kazi fell faster than he know what was even going on. "AHHHH!!" Shard stopped on the edge of the ravine and sat down. "Good riddance, stupid cub."
The strong waves of the river pulled Kazi down. He sunk, trying helplessly to save himself. The current pushed him up and down, throwing him up into the air, then pulling him down beneath the waves. Once Kazi was able to reach the surface, he spotted a old log, floating along the river. It was cracking, and seemed as it wouldn't hold him for long, but it's going to have to do. The young cub used all the strength he had to get to the log, and held on for his life as the current moved him further downstream. He looked around, but couldn't see anything; his vision blinded by the heavy, dark clouds surrounding him. The current suddenly got more intense as the wind started to pick up, pushing him faster and faster towards... the end. Every river has its end, whether it ends in a lake, an ocean, or a waterfall. Kazi gasped as he tried to cover his eyes, hoping that it would all go away; the cub didn't realize that he was in real danger, and that he would shortly be falling, falling down off the waterfall to who knows what- maybe a small pond, or maybe sharp rocks; whatever he would fall on, surely, it would hurt. As he approached its edge, Kazi opened his eyes. Before he knew it, he was falling- his heart leaped to his throat as that sinking feeling filled his stomach, and before he knew it, everything went black.
