Chapter 2- Forgotten news

After all the classes, It was finally home time. I was so happy. Harry and I made our way to our room. Both of us were very tired and sleepy. I opened our room's door to find it empty. I guess Em and Ro are still in their class.

"Finally, today is the last day of school," said Harry

"Yeah, we can go home for the holidays," I said.

I missed mom so much. We were waiting for Em and Ro to come. After some time, they came.

"What took you guys so long?" I asked.

"We had to do 50 push-ups," said Ro

"Why?" asked Harry surprised.

"Because we went to class a little late," said Em nervously.

"Em, do you think I'd believe that?" I asked

"I know you are lying," I continued.

"But, I am telling the truth," said Em

"You are not. I know it when your lying," I said

"Tell them already," said Ro

"Yes, she is right. Em, tell me," I urged.

"Agh! fine," she said. Even Harry kept his phone down to listen. Harry and I looked at Em earnestly.

"You see," she began.

"James and I got into a row," continued Em. James and Em hate each other. And they often get into fights.

"Why?. I mean, what did he do this time?" I asked

"He was teasing me for running so slow," said Em sulking.

"Mrs Fortifield heard them. She was explaining some exercise. She got mad and asked us to do push-ups," finished Ro.

"Oh!" I answered. For a second, I thought she would put them in detention.

"Okay, I know you are tired so, let's go to bed," I said

"Cathy's right, and I am pretty tired as well," said Harry. He got into bed. We already changed our clothes and were ready for a nap. Em and Ro took turns to go to the bathroom and go into bed as well. After some time, my alarm went off. I got up to see that It was almost lunchtime. I woke the others up. We all got ready. Then we went to the dining hall. We were on our way to the dining hall. The lunch bell rang. All of us sat on our seats and began eating. There were burgers, Fries, and some fruits. We always eat fruits with our meals.

After eating, the assembly bell rang.

"What's the assembly for?" inquired Em.

"Uhhh... for the holidays," said Harry.

"OMG! I forgot about it," remarked Em.

"I did remember them. But today, it just got out of my mind," said Ro

"Yeah, me too," answered Em.

"Come on, let's go," I said. We left for the assembly hall. It was an enormous room with plenty of chairs. Most of the students were there. We sat behind Ariadne and Celine.

"Hi, guys," said Ariadne

"Hi," I replied. The assembly started. The principal gave one of his "huge speeches". Then finally he announced the holidays.

" I now dismiss you," He said. All the students rushed to the exits. It took us some time to get to our rooms, as the hall was very crowded. We decided to watch a movie.

"Let's watch, 'Aladin'," said Em. We agreed. Then, we heard the doorbell ring. I opened the door to find two eighteen-year-old girls. One had auburn coloured hair and hazel brown eyes and, the other had brown hair and grey eyes.

"Come in, guys," I said. Ariadne and Celine came in.

"What are you guys watching?" asked Celine.

"Aladin," said Harry. All of us sat down to watch. After the movie, Celine said, "I booked the tickets for Toronto,"

"When are we leaving?" I asked. Celine was responsible for booking the tickets.

"Tomorrow after lunch, 5:00," answered Celine. Then the bell rang.

"dinner time," said Ro, who was always hungry. We went to the dining hall to have diner. It was chicken soup. Then we went back to our rooms. We played cards for a little while, then went to bed.
