EMMETT

"Did you hear about old man Babbles dying this morning." He asked Emily who was still eating a waffle from breakfast. She looked up and nodded then looked down at the waffle. She still doesn't say much. Then again who could say much about that topic

"We have training today. If you want to run errands and still have time to practice balance then we should head out." He said leaning down and taking a bit of her waffle. She stared at him intensely for a minute until he got the message.

"Fine you stay here and eat your waffle, I'll run the errands." He said and got up. She smiled and took a bite of the waffle.  She set it down and stood up.

"You always loose." She whispered. He paused while slipping his arms into his jacket and looked at her. She says some ominous things sometimes. Maybe they actually had a meaning. As he opened the door and thought about the things she said he couldn't help but get chills He laughed at his thoughts when he walked out the door, gaining a few akward glances from other people. He should go to the tower first.

"So. What your saying is, if the ball falls flat, you get the photo, plus tweedle dumb over there has to tell everyone he likes dressing as a maid for a pass-time. And if it hits the target we make copies and pass them around?" The guy in front of her asked. The group of guys had gotten a hold of the picture of her goofing around and she looked like a total fool. They had decided that today was a good day for a gamble. Sucks to be them.

"Yeah, but don't worry you get three tries." One of the guys said. I turned sideways and looked at the small red target they had put 32 feet  away.

"I only need two."I lifted my hand, which held the baseball they had given me, and let fly. They stared at me with eide eyes as the red circle fell from its stand.  I held up the maid uniform I had just picked up for Ezzie, the house-maid. She had just gotten it dry cleaned. I could tell her that it wasn't clean yet.

I waited till the house was empty before abandoning my place at the table. Today was important, even if nobody knew that. The truth is that a satellite from way before the war was passing over our heads slowly. It was going to send a message to a tower where the last form of government was located and that message was wether or not the atmosphere on a distant planet was suitable for creatures to live.. It had seven moons and a sun. But the sun rotated around it. I wanted to know what the message was before them so I was going to go to the tower and find out. How? Easy, I recently accepted a job as a janitor for the top five rooms. These rooms were a bathroom, a lounge, the meeting room, a office, and most importantly the control room. I had a.key to all these places and I intended to use that to my benefit now. I wasn't suppose to know about it but an old gay couple, Darek and James, told me about it being sent up a long time ago. I set off towards the tower and tried to enjoy the morning breeze that both chilled and relaxed my body. Today determined the earthling's fate.
