"I can't focus, not while you're looking at me like that."

A few nerve-racking weeks had passed since the whole Cedric and Draco fiasco, and as predicted, Blaise stayed shut about whatever suspicion he had about Cedric and me. Aside from that, Draco and I started talking again at a very minimal level. It was like we were just waiting around for one of us to call it quits after what I said last time.

As for Cedric and I, well, we were back to our old little antics.

All classes were done for the day, it was midnight, and I'd been hanging out with Cedric in his dorm since it was one of the very few times that all his dorm mates had plans and wouldn't be there.

I laid next to Cedric in his bed, scrolling aimlessly through my phone as he read a book, and boredom wasn't even the word to describe how I felt. It was just, whatever.

"Hmph," I sighed dramatically as I tossed and turned, tangled up in his sheets.

Cedric didn't bother looking up, it was like with each page he flipped the book sucked him in, farther and farther distant from me.

"Hmm," I sighed again, slightly louder than before as I stretched an arm out onto his bare chest.

A million and one crude ideas popped into my head as I took in his image. The way his hair messily fanned across his forehead, how his pajama pants hung so loose around his torso so the band of his boxers was slightly revealed. How his broad chest calmly rose and fell, and his abs slightly defined any time he shifted around in his position. Oh, I could go on for hours.

He glanced at me, a slight smirk on his face as he caught onto my gawking and attention-seeking groans. But he didn't do anything about it. Instead, he just flipped to the next page, putting me through even more torture than before now that I knew he was fully aware of what I was doing and choosing to ignore it.

I rolled over with a sigh of defeat, as it turned out my plan to seem bored enough so he was forced to say something first didn't work. "Cedric, what are you reading?" I questioned, propping myself up to poke my head near his book.

"A book," he responded smartly.

I stared blankly at him, letting him know that I wasn't in much of a mood for his sarcasm tonight.

"Quidditch through the ages," He corrected himself as his eyes steadily moved side to side across the page.

The one book he picks up all school year and it
happens to be a quidditch one, how predictable.

I flipped onto my stomach and rested my cheek in my palm, "Read it out loud," I suggested, deciding I would join him since he found it so enjoyable. More enjoyable than my company, per se.

Cedric lightly chuckled, dubiously staring at me, "Since when are you into Quidditch?"

"I've always been into Quidditch," I said, the falsehood practically rolling off of my tongue with each word. I genuinely only understood one position and it was the one both Cedric and Draco played. Seeker, is it?

Anywho, Ced clearly wasn't buying it. My tone was unconvincing enough, so I followed up, "Well I'm interested because you're interested, so start reading."

"Okay," he grinned at me, still obviously questioning but not bothering to mention it, " "The British and Irish quidditch league was founded in 16..."

As usual, I zoned out.
