Chapter 4

Scales Wind orphanage

The carriage pulled up to the Scales Wind orphanage after an hour long bumpy ride. London got out of the carriage only to be quickly lead inside. She followed the man in front of her down a long hallway where many kids were scattered about it. Some of the kids around her started at her confused while the others smiled at her warmly.

After taking a couple turns down the hallway they arrived in a large office where a very stressed, grey haired looking woman sat behind a large wooden desk.

"Ah you must be all London," the woman said looking up from her papers as her stressed face vanished into a smile when she saw London. "We are so glad to have you here and hope you will find a great home here."

"Thank you," London replied very awkwardly for she didn't know how to respond to that.

"Well lunch will be soon so fill free to make your way up to your room and get comfortable," the old woman said "Oh and by the way I'm the head of the orphanage here Mrs. Aris," She smiled one last time before sending London off.

London soon found her room with the help of some of the kids wandering around the halls. She went inside the room to see another girl who introduced herself as Carly her roommate.

The two soon headed down to lunch where Carly introduced her to all her friends (I'm just gonna skip over this since they aren't that important).

All to soon the day came to an end with London having meet some kids but didn't really want to be friends with them in fears of being pulled away from them as well. London slowly drifted off to sleep dreaming about Laurence and Cadenza.
