That night after the party everyone had gone their separate ways but Teri and Sherri had nothing but each other on their minds.

The next morning Teri awoke from what was somewhat a restless night of sleep. Her first thought was Sherri.

She thought to herself how ridiculous this was. She had known this woman for years, she had always felt something special when she was with her but why was she being so obsessive over her now. “I don’t even really know this woman” she said out loud to herself, secretly in the back of her mind wondering if Sherri felt the same.

Just then her phone started to ring, she grumbled and got out of bed with the blanket still wrapped around her.

A number she didn’t recognize was on the screen but she answered it anyway.

"Hello", Teri said into the phone.

"Hi, Teri. It’s Sherri."

The blanket that had been wrapped around Teri’s shoulders dropped to the floor.

"Hey, I was just thinking about you", Teri said and then shook her head in disbelief. Why had she just admitted to that and why had she done it so eagerly.

"Oh, really? Well, I hope it’s okay that I got your number from Peter."

"Oh, yeah, that’s fine", Teri said happy to change the subject.

"Are you doing anything this afternoon?"

"Not at all. What’s up?" Teri asked.

"I was wondering if you wanted to do lunch. Talk about the script, catch up and maybe get to know each other a little better."

"Yes, sure. Where?" Teri asked.

"I was thinking maybe that little bistro on the corner of 5th in Santa Monica."

"That’s right down the street from my house. How’s 1?"

"That sounds great". Sherri concurred.

"See you then", Teri said hanging up the phone.

Teri arrived at the restaurant at 12:45 and picked a table on the patio.

She checked her emails for a few minutes until she heard a voice behind her.

She got up out of her seat and embraced Sherri.

"I hope you haven’t been waiting long", Sherri said.

Teri lied, “No, just a few minutes.”

The waiter came over and took their drink orders.

"That party was in-fucking-sane last night", Teri said.

"Oh God, I know. It’s becoming more and more obvious I’m not as young as I once was"

"You don’t look a day over 20 to me"

Sherri laughed, “flattery will get you everywhere”.

The waiter came with their drinks and they ordered their food.

"So the show. It’s not just me, it’s great, right?" Sherri asked, looking up from taking a drink.

"When I read the script, I swear I was speechless. It’s something television needs."

"You know, I can’t believe we haven’t done this before" Sherri admitted.

"I know. You too good to hang with me?" Teri laughed.

"That is exactly why!" Sherri said laughing, both wondering how this could possibly be so real and comfortable.

Their food arrived and they ate and had more quick witted and lovely conversation with each other.
