"C'mon Deku!" Uraraka called to the green haired boy
He had been writing in his notebook and not realized that his friend had gotten ahead of him. He closed his journal and ran to catch up with the bubbly Brunette.
"Hurry up Deku or we'll be late!" She called as she ran towards the gates of UA
After a short run, Midoria and uraraka arrived in the classroom. Immediately Iida walked over and began to lecture them on the importance of time management. Neither of the two listened to his ranting and waited until he finished to be able to go sit down.
Midoria took his seat behind Bakugo just as present Mic paraded into the classroom.
"There will be an English test in two days!" He announced. "Start studying!"
An audible groan was heard throughout the class though Midoria's eyes shone. English was one of his better subjects right after hero studies of course. Mic left the room to get something and told them to start studying.
Kirishima, Kaminari, Sero, and Mina all imediatly ran to Bakugo and begged him for help since he was very fluent in the foreign language. He shut them down but most likely would help them later just to make them stop talking in their poor excuse for English.
Most of the girls went to Yaoyorozu for study help. Midoria took out his English textbook and began softly muttering words and phrases to himself. After a couple minutes, he felt a presence near him. He turned around to be met with a dual colored stare looking over his shoulder at the book on his desk.
"Oh hi Todoroki!" Midoria said with a smile
"Your very good at that." Todoroki commented in his usual monotone voice
"What? Oh English! Yeah, I've always thought America was cool and I guess I kinda just picked up on their language." Midoria said while shyly rubbing the back of his neck.
"Midoria, can you show me?" Todoroki asked
"Show you? Like help you study?" The green haired boy asked confused
"Yes." Todoroki said monotonous
"Oh, uh, sure!" Midoria agreed and motioned for Todoroki to sit in the now empty desk next to his
He slid his desk closer so it was easier to read the book together. He placed his book between the two desks and looked to Todoroki.
"What don't you understand?"
"These." The dual haired boy pointed to a section on the page
"There, their, and they're? Yeah that can be tricky sometimes." Midoria said. "Basicaly 'there' is used when talking about the location of something or someone. 'Their' is used when talking about ownership. And 'they're' is used instead of 'they are'." Midoria explained while pointing to each form of the word. "Does that make sense?"
"A little. What about this?" He pointed to another word on the page. "How do I say that?"
Midoria looked at the word and instantly knew why Todoroki was struggling with the pronunciation.
"That's pronounced pneumonia. The 'p' at the begining is silent, just like pterodactyl." Midoria explained
A look of frustration crossed Todoroki's face as he stared at the word.
"Why would the 'p' be silent? Why would they write it like that?" He said with a hint of annoyance
"I have no idea." Midoria sighed and shrugged
