Mari's POV

The Country Bears, legends of the music world, icons of their time. They seemed like they would be like that forever.

Well, at least that's what everyone thought. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

It's been ten years since the band had split and ten years since I had seen any one of the bears in person, well almost all of them.

But first, let me introduce myself, I'm Mari (pic above)and I'm  the only other human who was part of the Country Bears band. The other human was my dad, Roadie, who drove their tour bus and was also a drummer for the band. I wasn't technically a member of the band, but the bears always said that I was part of the family. I would go to almost every concert that they had, except the ones overseas, since my mom wouldn't let me travel.

I would also hang out with the bears outside of concerts, I loved being around them. Well, until things started going bad. Right before the guys broke up, all of their personal drama was starting to take over. It was a mess, especially after Trixie broke up with Tennessee. After that, everything just went downhill. After their last concert, the band went their separate ways. I remember that day well.

I cried so much, and it was clear that my sadness took a toll on the guys. They all cared about me just like I care about them. They all promised to keep in touch with me after they left and they all somewhat kept that promise.

Fred kept in touch often, sending me letters every week or two weeks, never more than that and called me on special occasions or when he had the time.

Zeb called once in a while, always on my birthday. Every time he sent a letter though, it was sticky with honey. He was still hooked on the stuff.

Tennessee wrote me seldom, seeing as how he was still not over his heartbreak with Trixie and was also busy with his new job, though he never said what it was. But when I did get a letter or a call, he always made sure to catch up on everything.
