Jotaro shoots bolt upright, placing his hands on his face. His heart ached. Why did he keep having these stupid nightmares? He didn't want them anymore. He just wanted to forget. Forget how all his best friends almost died. He wanted to pretend that never happened. He curses himself, gently slamming his palm exposed from his balled fist against his forehead. His eyes were shut tight, and he was trying not to cry. He couldn't. He wouldn't. He un-balled his hand, running it through his messy, curly, bedhead. The raven-haired teen got out of bed slowly, still dizzy from his several days of bad sleep. He stumbled off to the kitchen, stubbing his toe on a table he couldn't see due to the darkness that engulfed the Kujo household. He was so relieved that his mother wasn't awake, he didn't want her to see him like this. He didn't want to burden her. These thoughts caused him to go into a sort of mini spiral before his head snapped suddenly upward. He silently cursed, it hurt like a bitch.
Jotaro had been dealing with these random movements for a few weeks after the 50-day ordeal he was put through. He didn't know what they were, but he'd been studying to find out, unfortunately to no avail. He grabbed a cup from the cupboard, filling it with water. His head flicked to the side and then up once again, and he grumbled softly to himself. He set the water cup down, and he flapped his hands. It hurt his wrists, but it helped him manage these movements. He chuckled, thinking to himself how the floppy hands made him think about seals. He stopped his 'stimming' and he finally drank his water. He set the now used cup in the sink, and walked back to his room. He figured he'd try to go back to sleep.
He opened the door, crawled in his futon, and slowly dozed off.
8:00 AM
Jotaro awoke to the smell of his mother's cooking. He smiled to himself. He had always enjoyed his mother's cooking. He let out a gentle yawn, his head flicking upwards then shaking as if to say 'no' right afterward. He huffed, already knowing this was gonna be a long day. The teen slid on his school uniform, hat and all, and walked into the kitchen. He sat down at the table, his hands under the table briefly to stim before they were back into his pockets. He still flicked his head, letting out a soft squeak. Holly turned to the source of the noise.
"Ah, good morning Jotaro!~"
Holly sang, smiling brightly.
"Good morning or whatever."
He grumbled in response, looking at the floor. Holly went back to cooking, breakfast almost done. The smell of food, and the sense that it was almost done brightened his mood a little. He hummed softly, and felt himself de-tense and relax. He looked at the clock on the wall, 8:09. The teen let out a small huff, noting he had plenty of time until he had to walk to school. Plenty of time to brace himself for the gaggle of girls who swarmed him and intruded his personal space. He didn't like it when they touched him. It felt wrong. When the crusaders hugged him, or put their hands on his shoulder, or just made general physical contact with him, it felt right. It felt loving. Not empty and gross like the girls. The sound of his plate making contact with the table snapped him out of it. His breakfast was done. He quickly thanked his mother, and began to eat.
Jotaro finished rather quickly, and managed to hold back the tics that were brought on by the surge of energy the food gave him. The floodgates finally broke, and the teen had a mini tic attack as his mother looked away. He brought them to a slight stop as she turned back to him. He got up, and grabbed his bag. He was on his way to the door, but he stumbled a little as he stood up too fast. He mentally cursed himself, and steadied himself on a wall. His vision was blurry and a vignette sat at the edges of his vision. He waited until it subsided, and continued on to the door. He put his shoes on, and was about to leave before Holly came up to him and gave him his morning goodbye kiss. He scowled at her, and told her to shove off. Holly responded with a big smile and an 'okaaaaay!~', and Jotaro started his trek off to school.
Not even 5 minutes in, the girls spotted the teen, and he internally winced. They all called his name, and he felt misery overtake him. God, he wished Kakyoin was here, too bad he was at the hospital. He stayed silent, not giving them the attention that they oh so craved from him. Then they started fighting over him. He scowled, and tried to repress the tics being kicked up from the irritation and noise around him. Jotaro finally snapped.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOUR VOICES ARE SO ANNOYING!" He growled, causing the girls to emit a squeal. He sighed to himself, and kept walking. His brain was blanking. Today was not going to be very good.
