OK, Finn tell me, what happened" Quinn says once they got settled in her apartment.

"Oh, um OK. So, when I left for the army, things were going quite well, actually. I really felt like I found my calling." He says as Quinn smiles, happy for him. "OK, so about two weeks in, I was cleaning my gun, and I forgot to put the safety on, and, uh I kinda sorta shot myself. Right through my thigh." He says as Quinn tries her best to hold in a laugh, but fails, miserably as she throws her head back, and cracks up.

"Y-you shot yourself in the leg??" she says at a now tomato faced Finn

"Yeah, don't rub it in too much" he says, now laughing with her, as the two settle down, he continues, "So, uh I got a semi-honorable discharge, and I spent six months drowning in my shame, backpacking through Georgia, of all places." As he says this, Quinn puts a comforting hand on Finn's, knowing that he's hurting at the moment. "OK, so about 12 hours ago, I decided to go to New York to uh visit Rachel, who is now my ex-fiancé" If Quinn had water, she would have spit it out. To say the least, yeah, she was shocked, but felt a weight being brought off of her chest at the same time for some odd reason.

"What"

"Shhh. I'm getting there" He tells Quinn. "So, I go up to the door, Kurt answers, I tell him everything, obviously, and then when Rachel arrived" Finn stops, swallows the lump in his throat, and fails to hold back tears, "when she arrived, she wasn't alone. When Kurt asked who he was, she said that he was her boyfriend. HER BOYFRIEND. I WAS HER BOYFRIEND" Finn says through sobs, "NO, I was her FIANCE" All Quinn can do is wrap Finn up in a hug, and Finn leans into her, and she can immediately feel the tears on her shirt, but she doesn't care. She's comforting the man that she once loved. Hell, the man that she still loves. She doesn't care what the consequences are, she will help him move on. "Am I just not good enough? Is that why she cheated?"

"Finn, listen to me, you are the greatest person that I know. You are loving, talented, handsome, kind, and so much more. Try to figure things out on your own for now"

"But what if I don't want to be alone?"

"Finn, you can stay with me. I have an extra room in here. It gets kinda lonely in here anyways, and quite frankly, you're literally the only person that I would want to be a roommate with."

"Q, you don't have to do this for me"

"But I am. Our past means too much to me to forget. If you don't know what you want to do, I can and I will help you. I consider you one of my best friends. You're staying"

"Thank you" He croaks, still in the crook of her shoulder. As he gets up, he sees the stain on her shirt, "Sorry about that"

"Finn, you don't have to apologize. You would've done the same thing for me, hell you have done the same for me." She says as the two get lost in each other's eyes. Neither of them knew it, but there was a tether between the two that could never be broken. They were always connected, and something in any way, shape, or form, would always bring them back to each other.

"Um" Finn begins, breaking the moment, "can we watch a movie?"

"Yeah, I have Empire Strikes Back"

"You still have that?" He says as Quinn bites her lip as she nods. "I remember I got that for you for our 6-month anniversary sophomore year.

"To your surprise, I actually love that movie."

"Yeah, because I was the one that showed you" Finn laughed

"OK, fine, yes. Finn thank you for showing me this movie"

"You're welcome, Q"

As the movie continued, Quinn put her head on Finn's shoulder, which made Finn's feelings for Quinn come back almost instantly. With that boost of confidence, he wrapped his arm around her, and pulled her into his side. As the movie came to an end, both of the two were asleep, wrapped in each other's arms.
