Chpt.2 Pretty Girls and Bandaids💕

Eliza's POV

Our teacher, Mrs.Beedie allowed everyone to go wherever they want to work for the period and we were assigned to head back to class 5 minutes before the bell, with those instructions, everyone went off on their own with their partners.
I remain in my seat, however Maria looks up at me, "hey, let's go work out by the grass, that way me have more space and time and we have the space to ourselves," she suggests.
"O-oh, yeah okay.. I guess so", I nod and get up, grabbing my things, "careful lot to drop anything again ", she giggles softly, making me blush lightly at her statement, I look down at the floor then back up at her, "I really dont see what's so funny." I say with a straight face, but for some reason she just smiles, "c'mon, lighten up, sometimes it's fun to laugh at yourself. Now let's go", she grabs her bag and heads outside, I follow beside her. As we walk I take notice that she keeps glancing at me and observing me, "uhm.. yes? Is there something wrong?", I ask softly, looking at her now as we walk, she shakes her head, 'no', in response, but with no explanation, hm..

We walk out to the grass area and sit on one of the benches close by, Maria leans back and smiles, sighing softly, I turn to her, "uhh, so should we get started?" I ask her, she sits up, "oh, sure, I just thought we'd sit and enjoy the peace for a bit, but yeah we can do that, so we can maybe take pictures of the sky every night and take note of it and research what every photograph looks like and means, that seems easy enough, right?", Maria says, I smile and nod, getting up, I'll get started, I run off to take photos of the sky. "Hey! Wait, Eliza-", I turn as I'm running, "hm?", right then, since I'm not looking when I'm running I trip and fall, scraping my knee on the ground, "Oh shit ", Maria immediately runs over and kneels to my side, "oh my gosh, are you okay?", she looks at me. I look at her but then I just start laughing, which made her smile, "aw, see that? You're adorable when you laugh at yourself", she stands up and holds out her arm to me, "now c'mon", I grab her hand and she helps me up. "Guess I should go take those photos now huh?", I say still slightly giggling, "uhm, that's what I was gonna tell you before you fell, it's not night time, we only need to the photographs of the night sky, so you don't need to take them now", Maria says.

I get silent then just face palm, "God I've made the worst first impression ever, and all you've seen is clumsy me, I'm sorry", I shake my head at myself. "What? No, I already like you, c'mon, let's go get your knew cleaned up", Maria starts to walk to one of the buildings in our school, I just stand there, she looks back at me. "You coming or what?", I smile and nod, "Yeah, coming!"

I follow Maria into the building and we head into one of the reatrooms and head over to the sink. "Here, I'll clean you up, come sit up on the sink", I walk over, "Oh okay, uh how should I-", she cuts me off mid sentence and just picks me up and lifts me up onto the sink, I blush lightly at her. She walks over to other sinks and folds some brown paper towels and wets them in the sink then walks back over to me, "this may sting a bit", she touches my scraped knee with the paper towel, I wince from the pain, "o-ow!", she looks up at me, "sorry..", she presses the paper towel to my knee, I bite my lip, agh it hurts. She cleans my knee then grabs her bag, unzipping it, she reaches in and pulls out a box of bandaids and opens one and puts it on my knee, then helps me down from the sink.. wow she's so sweet and nurturing, it's in my nature to act like a mom and be nurturing to my older and younger sister, and I feel like she's like that, it's.. might I say very charismatic and sweet and pretty on her. "Thank you for helping me and taking care of my knee", I smile and look down at the floor, blushing.
"Its really no trouble at all, now c'mon, we don't have much long left", she grabs my hand and we leave the restroom.
