The Tears of a Paladin

Turn 2

Leo sat on the chair in his small room, he slowly drank water.

"I had no reason to live, now i do? It was just me playing with kids and now i blindly follow power? This truly is my destiny in truth. The lifeless world now should move by my hands and mine only. I'm the only one of my friends that remember their name, so i should lead this charge." Leo said. He got up and put on his armor and headed outside to ambush the next set of troops coming to the city. He went to the roof to meet up with the man. "Embrace it, the power. They killed your parents didn't they?" The man said. Leo put on his mask and sat down. He was growing up way faster than anyone in the world, he had no choice. "It's about time i do so, about time i leave behind this kid side I've been holding onto. That woman gave me power because i could solechange the world on my own. I must fulfill it now and until i die." Leo said. The man stood up and walked back into the house. "Go walk the path of blood then, change this lifeless world." The man said.
    Leo hoped off fro the building and landed on the road. "It's the murderer!" Leo ran and dodged to spray of pellets coming his way. He jumped high and blasted the horses with his power. He landed back down and rushed the last two men. He grabbed their necks and slammed them into the ground. "What are you?" The soldier said. "Where is your empire!" Leo shouted. The men gasped for air and held onto Leo's wrist. "It's further out from here. Miles. About 18." The men died. Leo stood up and walked away to the mysterious man thats always by him. "The power boosts muscle strength and gives you a adult body, and adult wisdom, it works quite well with you." The man said. "I think its about time you gave me your name." Leo said. The man walked forward. "Where is the empire?" He said. Leo caught up with him. "About 16 miles west from here." Leo said. "We wont need to walk far from here. We can just fly. Or i can." Leo added. The man walked into a alley where Leo followed. "You will destroy the empire and take the throne." The man said. Leo shook his head in disappointment. "I already decided I'm going to defeat evil. No more will innocent people die. I have taken your words and used them for myself now. Either good or evil doesn't matter, ill destroy anything that will come in my presence that is evil." Leo said profoundly. "Then we go now, you have power, use it well." The man disappeared in thin air and left Leo alone for the time being.
    People gathered outside to see Leo, they smiled and seemed happy like they never have smiled. Leo left the alley to people surrounding him. They saw hope in him and in his power. "You have saved us." One said. They all started cheering and yelling. "Our hero! Our Paladin!" A woman shouted. They all started cheering "paladin! Paladin! Paladin!" A hero for thought. "Join me and we can defend together." Leo said. The chanting turned into whispers and then to silence. One by one they kneeled to Leo and closed their eyes. "I'm not evil, the world was all along. I will obliterate it fully." Leo thought.
