It was Sunday, yet Shinsou has a lot of catching up to do with Class 1-A. Aizawa was doing his best to teach Shinsou everything he knows how to wield the binding cloth, how to strengthen himself, and sharpen his senses and speed.
Though, Shinsou was learning a lot.
"That's it for today, you get some rest while I do some paperworks back at my room. And by the way, please babysit Eri for me."
After hearing the words babysit and Eri, he was confused. Why won't Midoriya and Uraraka babysit her instead? The other students from Class 1-A? But it was him Aizawa gave him the job to be a babysitter.
"Why should I babysit her, Aizawa-sensei?"
"No one's going to watch her at this time, all the teachers are busy."
"B-But sensei, what about Midoriya? Or anyone in Class—"
"Do the things I told you to do, it's for your sake as well. You could ask help from the others if you're having trouble."
And then Aizawa went back inside the dorms and to his room, where Eri was for a while. It wasn't in the contract for taking care of a child, Shinsou deeply respected his mentor but he wasn't good at taking care of kids. He had no idea of anything that what would make one child smile. It's about his third time seeing Eri, but he wasn't able to talk to her at those times since he was being trained by Aizawa. He has no idea what the little child is interested in.
He went back inside the dorm with a frown, peeved a bit. "Shinsou!" A little yell was heard before he even stepped in. It was Eri, her red eyes glowing in glee.
"Aizawa told me to be with you for today, he said you'll babysit me and we'll have fun." Eri said bashfully, looking up at the tall boy in front of her.
Shinsou smiled.
"Eri-chan." Uraraka called out, causing Eri to whirl around to look at Uraraka. "Uraraka-chan!" She smiled. "It's good to see you again, why so excited today, huh?"
Eri's eyes sparkled happily.
"Shinsou and I will be having fun today, and he'll babysit me. But I don't know what does babysit mean." She muttered.
"It means watching over a child while the adults are away."
"Oh, now I get it."
"Do you need any help, Shinsou-kun?" Uraraka asked, to at least help a little bit since she has nothing better to do.
"It's fine, Aizawa-sensei said I can ask for your help when I'm having trouble."
"Okay, I'll be in the living room if you need me or any of us!" Uraraka waved bye to Shinsou before heading towards the living room where the girls were at.
