We landed back at the warehouse after a flight of mostly just complaining as Roman gave me the rundown. "So, essentially we're working for a group of power mad tyrants who we don't even know who they are except for this Cinder chick, we have absolutely no say in this whatsoever and if we refuse we die?" We hopped out onto solid ground as Roman answered "Pretty much" I groaned loudly, rubbing my temples "Gods now I kinda wish you'd kept leaving me out" Roman snickered as we walked towards the warehouse "You wanted back in and here you are"

"I was hoping it was gonna be like it was. Me, you and Neo against the world"

"Well we still are against the world.........just the world is now against us more then ever"

"Thats what always made it fun. The world against us, but this is rediculous" Then something hit me that I can't believe I didn't notice before "Roman" I attempted to sound as calm as possible but Roman knew when I sounded like that it usually meant I was pissed "Yes?" he asked hesitantly 

"How long ago did Cinder show up with this proposition?" I saw Roman's aura flinched as he shirked away a little

"Uhhhh 3..........months ago" He shrugged slowly, trying to soften the blow.......unlike the unsoftened blow from me smacking him round the head with my cane.

"You basterd, you knew long before you were even ghosting me?"

"Maybe" He whined and I smacked him again

"Ughhh I could kill you right now" I snarled as we walked inside the building.......and a thin blade immediately pressed against my neck. I sighed deeply. How did I not know she was there. "Sorry Neo" I turned my head to face her, trying not to cut my neck. "You know I would never really" I smiled. She tilted and shook her head, as if she didn't believe me. Roman gingerly moved Hush's blade (Hush is the name of Neo's weapon) away from my throat.

"As much as I appreciate the guard detail Neo, guy's got a point. This ones on me. Should have told you before pal" He brushed non existent dust from my shoulders "Bygones and all that?" his theatrics of dusting my new coat attempting to give him a more forgivable air.............it worked. I sighed.

"God damn you" I smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Just don't leave me out next time. If you're gonna be in a crap situation, have the decency to drag me along with your sorry ass" Roman breathed a sigh of relief.

"So we're all good"

"Na I'm still pissed that you're working for the glowy fire spitter" Roman made to protest but I cut him off "Not your fault I know, it never is your fault is it"

"Wrong actually, I just took responsibility for keeping you out of the loop"

"Greaaaat once in a lifetime, make some other things your responsibility while you're at it" I began aimlessly wandering into the warehouse. I didn't know how to feel right now. I couldn't be mad at Roman, its obviously not his fault but still, I didn't sign up to work for gods only know who. I heard Roman behind me. 

"Neo you should have told him" Followed by another yelp of pain from him as Neo pinched his arm hard. Then she skipped up next to me and put a hand on my shoulder. She nodded her quick nod at me and I smiled

"I know Neo" I put my hand on her shoulder in return "We're gonna take this on together, like always" Roman pushed in-between us wrapping his arms around me and Neo 

"How delightful, all soppy and emotional, like one big happy family" He mocked

Neo usually didn't show all to much care or emotion. Apart from sadistic glee while hurting someone or silent snark and sarcasm. So when she did stuff like that it really was comforting to me. Her letting me know that she does care, at least a little.
