"Emerald, won't you finish the story?" Erin complained.

"Not now, we must leave, and continue to find a proper home." I get to my feet, then notice how big Erin has gotten.

"Jasmine, lets go." I say.

Then we start to walk towards a forest, just in eyes' reach. Maybe this will be our permanent home, I thought

After the sun had moved a rabbits' length, we heard a small cough. Turning around, I check the bushes for enemies, but none were found.

I huffed through my nose. No one was going to outwit me.

Without a word I stalked around my pack mates in a big circle. No sign of life. That was until a wolf crashed down upon me, from the near by tree.

"Hey!" he yelled as my claws made a slash across his snout.

"Hey yourself. You shouldn't pounce on your own kind like prey." I peer up to the tree he was in. "You good at climbing or what?"

The male casually walked in front of Jasmine and Erin and said, "Not only am I good at climbing, stalking as well. I followed you guys since that little spout with the Pack of the Swirling Winds. What was that about anyway?"

I growled. It was none of his business!

Then I glanced in Jasmine's direction who was staring in awe of the idiot wolf in front of her. On the inside I was rolling my eyes.

"Could I perhaps join your little get together?" he asked sitting down.

"Of course!" Jasmine shouted, then she noticed my icy glare. "But first you have to deal with our pack leader..."

Jasmine hung her head, and blushed. She hadn't meant to speak out of place. I was about to scream no, then claw his face off for coming near us, but Jasmine obviously wanted another pack mate.

So through clenched jaws, I said "Fine."

The male seemed quite happy. "Well, my name is Sand, 'cause of the color of my beautiful coat!"

I huffed out of my nose, "I'm Emerald, leader of this pack, Pack of the Stars. This is my sister Jasmine and her adopted pup, Erin. I can't say it's a pleasure, because I only speak the truth."

Something about this male seemed off, and I was going to find out, whether it killed me or torn me inside out.
