Louis' POV
"I- wow." Was all he said, gaping at me. I took the sight of him in, and stood a little stunned at how amazing he looked. "Uhm, where are we going?"
"Oh, uhm right. We're going to Carmine's. It's really good and we can just like share a dish and stuff and um... do you like Italian food?"
"Yeah, of course." He laughed. "Let's go." We walked down to the elevator together and rode down kind of awkwardly. I grabbed his hand and he looked down at me for a second, before looking back at the closed door. "You know, I still don't know if this is a date."
"I don't know either. Do you want it to be a date?"
"Do you?" We both stood quietly, neither one of us wanting to make the first move. I looked over at him again and kissed him on the cheek. He slightly blushed and smiled, looking down. "I want it to be a date..." He mumbled quietly, making me look up.
"Me too." I told him, and he turned to look at me. I nodded and he put his hand around my waist. We were close to kissing, but the door dinged open. I laughed and grabbed his hand swinging it with mine as we walked out of the hotel lobby and into the shiny black car. I told the driver where to go and he smiled at me. I sat right next to Harry in the car, his head resting on top of mine and I pulled our hands up and kissed his knuckles.
When we got to the restaurant, I got us our table for two and ordered a pasta dish that we could share. I put my blue suit jacket on my chair, so he could see my shirt with small blue dots going across it.
"So, how many times did Zayn tell you that your outfit was stupid?" Harry asked me. I feel like I should be a little offended, but then again he's not wrong.
"Do you not like my outfit?" I asked him, jokingly hurt.
"No, but Zayn made 6 jokes about mine today, so what happened with you?" Honestly, I should probably lie to make myself look cooler and be like 3 times cause he liked it, but I don't think I can actually lie to this man.
"9. 9 jokes."
"Not bad, my worst was 26. He made 26 jokes about an outfit I was wearing. And it wasn't even bad! It was just yellow swim trunks." He told me, making me laugh. Honestly, I would probably be making fun of them too. I mean, why yellow?
The waiter finally came after about 20 more minutes of conversation and gave us our food. I put some pasta on both of our plates and he nodded and smiled to me as a thank you. I swear to god he looks like a freaking Disney prince. When he finished eating, he excused himself to go to the bathroom and I focused back on the plate I had barely even touched, being too focused on the handsome boy in front of me than to eat.
So far today I've learned that he has a cat named dusty, but Niall always calls her Molly and Harry doesn't know why, he also likes to sing but says he'd never be able to be professional like me (absolute bull if you ask me), his life motto is treat people with kindness, and once he got grounded for saying 'pussy' in front of his mom. He's so interesting, I honestly just want to sit and have a conversation for hours with him. I'd never get bored. Even if he tried to tell a lame joke.
It's been a while since he left for the bathroom, and I know I probably shouldn't, but I'm gonna check up on him. I walked in and my jaw dropped. He was backed against the counter with the sinks, and guy in a black coat, khakis, and a polo shirt was trying to kiss him, and his eyes were opened wide in fear.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" I yelled at the man, which caused him to back away from Harry, and I pulled his hand gently and he ran over to me.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" He yelled back at me, making me more mad. But I knew that's what he was trying to do. "That guy's hot." He pointed to Harry who was behind me and I felt him shudder a bit, so I squeezed his hand in reassurance.
"Well you're not." The man rolled his eyes and scoffed.
"Was that supposed to be an insult?"
"Was that supposed to be a comeback?" He pursed his lips in anger and I almost lost it. "Stay away from my boyfriend." I growled at him.
"Whatever." He said, leaving behind me, but not before patting Harry's bum. I lost it.
"You heard me the first time. Stay. Away. From my boyfriend." I barked at him without turning around. Once I knew he left, I turned to face Harry, who was almost trembling in fear. "Hey, hey come here, you're okay now love, you're okay." I told him and he fell into my arms.
"Thank you. Thank you so much." I rubbed his back and stayed hugging him for a few more seconds before backing away.
"And, erm, sorry about calling you my boyfriend. I just thought it would've been more effective than date." I told him and he shook his head and smiled a bit.
"It's okay. I don't care about that." I grabbed his hand and we walked out of the bathroom and out if the restaurant after paying. We took the car back to the hotel and I held his hand the whole way there. "Can um, can I-" I nodded and moved a little closer, so our noses were touching. Our lips brushed across each others, until Harry's phone buzzed with a text notification. "Ugh, sorry, it's from Zayn." He told me.
"It's fine. We're here anyway. We can just.. continue... inside." I laughed. Keeping hold of his hand, we walked through the doors of the building, surprisingly no paparazzi. None at all tonight now that I think about it...
We rode up the elevator and I dragged him down all the hallways finally reaching our room. I fished out the keycard from my pocket and I saw him shuffling his feet a bit, cutely.
"Um, thank you. For tonight. And everything, really." He told me. I bit my lip and looked back up at him.
"Of course." I responded. He looks so perfect right now, honestly I could just... "Can I kiss you now?" I asked him, leaning in.
