-Louis-

"Hey, Grandma!" Louis said into his phone. He was sitting at his desk in his room, his phone in his right hand and had it pressed to his ear. Somehow, after last night, he remembered to give his grandmother a ring to catch up. But now, Louis had some questions for her. If his father wouldn't tell him, maybe she could. Surely she knew some things; it was her son that was sneaking around after all.

Even her husband used to run the family business. There's not a shadow of doubt in Louis' mind that she had some information for him.

Margaret Tomlinson, Louis' grandmother, was more than delighted to see her grandson calling her. They had a pretty close bond, they were closer than she was with his sisters.

She answered his call on the second ring, and Louis was very excited to talk to her as well. Not only because he had questions for her, but also because he missed her company and their talks. The last time they'd been together or even talked, was for Louis' birthday and Christmas.

Louis leaned back in his chair and fiddled with a pen that was sitting on the surface of his dark mahogany desk. He clicked it open and closed several times before getting bored of that and standing up.

"Oh! Hello, Louis! I'm so happy to hear from you!" she exclaims, her excitement bringing a smile to Louis' face as he paces around his room. He pauses in front of his tall bookshelf that reached over halfway up his wall and was filled with books Louis had never even heard of.

The one thing the Tomlinson home didn't have was a library, so all the kids and all the guest rooms had tall bookshelves that were filled with old books. Mostly books that had been collected over the years, some bibles, and others were children's books that they'd gotten as gifts or that Jay had purchased when they were younger.

Louis had a few pictures in silver frames sitting on some of the more eye-level shelves. One of him and his mum, one a family portrait from the previous year, one of just him and his sisters, and the last one was him and his grandparents on his father's side. He'd never met his mother's parents, sadly. They had passed away well before Louis was born, but Jay had told him wonderful stories about them from when she was growing up.

Louis couldn't imagine losing his parents, it must be so hard, and he sympathized for his mother. That's how she became so close his Margaret.

"Um, I'm well. I am actually calling to ask you if you'd be up to meet somewhere and we can have a some tea? I would love to catch up with you," Louis offered, reaching out and swiping his left index finger over the shiny frame housing the picture of himself and his sisters.

He wiped off the dust that collected on his finger onto his shirt. There was hardly and dust though, as the maids did a very good job of keeping his room clean, besides the clothes scattered on his floor. Jay insisted that he take care of his own clothes.

Now reminded of his clothes, he takes a step back from his bookshelf and looks down at the floor. He had about three days worth of clothes on his floor. Two pairs of black skinny jeans, two solid colored shirts, and some joggers and a sweatshirt.

Louis wasted no time before crouching down and grabbing the articles of clothing off his floor and chucking them into the hamper in his bathroom. He also decided to tidy up his sink while he waited for his beloved grandmother's reply. Isn't it weird all the things you do while talking on the phone?

"Louis, oh, I would love to! What time are you thinking? I found this great little place near my house when I met up with my friend Betsy. They have the best Yorkshire tea, which I know is your favorite," she rambled with joy. Louis smiled as he refolds some hand towels and places them back in their rightful place in the cupboard under the sink.

"Sounds great! Are you free at noon? It'll give me time to change and get ready and let Mum know and drive," Louis lists as he shuts off his bathroom light and shuts the door behind him. He hears a sound of affirmation from the other end of the phone.

"Yes, that's perfect! I'm so excited, Louis! I'll see you soon, okay? Love you! Tell your Mum, Father and sisters I say 'hello', would you? I miss them. Thank you," she gushes happily. Louis can already hear her moving around as she gets ready to meet him. Louis agrees and promises to do so, before saying goodbye and hanging up.

Noon was just an hour and a half away, and it took about a half hour to get to his grandmother's town, so he had a good amount of time to get ready to go.

But first, he left his room and set off to find his mum in order to let her know where he'd be going.

"Mum?" Louis called out into the house. They needed an intercom or something, it's nearly impossible to find anyone in the large building.

"I'm in the toy room with the girls!" he hears a voice say from behind him. He heads downstairs and goes into the hallway behind the staircase where the toy room was located.

A toy room is exactly what it sounds like it is. It had tons of storage and bins full of toys like Barbies and building blocks and drawing supplies that had accumulated over the many past years. The twins spent most of their time in there, it had practically everything they loved, and it was available to them at all times. Often they could be found in that very room when they were supposed to be asleep upstairs.

Louis makes his way down the hallway, the wood floor was cold on his bare feet, but he didn't mind. He actually liked it.

Once he gets to the toy room, he pushes the red curtain aside and steps in. There used to be a door there, but again, the twins would lock themselves in there, so they had to remove the door and put a curtain up instead. Louis, Fizzy and Lottie always found it hilarious, but his parents disagreed

"What do you need?" Jay asks from her spot on the floor when she sees her son enter the room. Of course, the twins were laying on the floor in front of her with Legos in their hands as they tried to build what looked like a castle.

"I'm going to meet Grandma at noon, is that alright?" Louis asked hopefully. Although, he had already said yes, so he wasn't sure how he could cancel on her. Especially since he's the one who made the plans.

"Yes, of course! What—" Jay starts but is cut off by Daisy gasping loudly. Both Louis and Jay snap their attention down to the small girl on the floor.

"I wanna go see Grandma! Please, Mummy," she begs but Louis is the first one to shoot down that idea.
"No! You can't. It's just me and her," Louis snaps at his younger sister, who sticks out her lower lip in a pout.

"Louis, say it kindly next time, please," Jay reminds him before turning to her daughter. She tucks a piece of hair behind Daisy's ear and then continues. "Sorry, Daisy. It's going going to be Lou and Grandma today. Maybe she can come over soon?"

Daisy doesn't say anything, just continues to pout. Phoebe, on the other hand, could care less. She was too interested in her Legos to care about meeting up with her grandmother. Plus, she was closer to her grandfather anyway.

"Oh, Dais, you better tuck that lip in or else a bird will poop on it!" Jay jokes, glancing up at Louis. Her eyes are sparkling with joy and she winks at him before turning back to her daughter, who was trying to hide a smile.

"If it helps, Daisy," Louis adds. Daisy looks up at him with curious eyes. "Grandma says 'hello' and that she loves and misses you."

That makes all three of them smile. And with that, Louis turns and leaves the toy room and ventures back upstairs to his room to get ready to go.

He and his grandmother were going to have a lot to discuss.
