Patchot~
After Laviña pulled me away from the roasting house, we went at the back to wash my dirty hands.
"How many times do I have to tell you Laviña that the hit on my head was really bad. " I said, a hint of anger is in my voice. It looks like Laviña is bringing back the 'I love you' issue about me and Ivan.
"I told you my head hurt pretty bad that's why all sorts of nonsense came out of my mouth!" I defended. Ivan and I were walking at the sidewalk.
Ivan quickly pulled my backpack and looked at me in the eye. "What about the 'I love you' that you said back then?"
"Yuck! Gross! No way! Disgusting! What I said about you means nothing!" I exaggeratedly exlaimed.
I was about to walk when Ivan pulled my backpack again. "Are you sure it's nothing?" He interrogated.
"Yes nothing!" I answered. "Me? Have feelings for you? I feel nothing for you!" I quickly said.
Ivan~
"Nothing!" I said after another sit-up.
"There's nothing between Jen and I anymore." I added.
Jake went near my ear. "Well what happened to Jen being the perfect catch?" He elbowed my arm lightly.
"Yeah." Nicco agreed. "You said she's the perfect catch."
"Hold on dude." I placed my hand at Nicco's mouth to shut up. "Yes, she may be a perfect catch, but she's so hard to get! I've lost interest already and she's not really that pretty anyway. Jen is just a waste of time."
"Go for Patchot instead! She's not hard to get. You know how she feels for you." Nicco suggested.
"Agreed." Jake made a thumbs up.
The two reenacted what happened when I accidentally hit the basketball at Patchot's head, resulting her to blurt out 'I love you'.
"Ivan, I love you." Jake and Nicco said at the same time while hugging me.
I pushed the two away from me. "That was last January dude! It's already summer. Besides, Patchot and I put that behind us. She told me I'm not her type."
"Or maybe she's just 'ID'?" Jake wondered.
I stood up from the bench. "No, she's not 'In Denial', and we talked about it. I confronted her. And I told her..."
"...Patchot, we can talk about your feelings you know. You want?" I said while pulling her backpack. Patchot and I were walking at a sidewalk that time. I placed my arm around her shoulder. "Yeah, you know I was thinking-"
"Ivan, stop it. By the way are you okay?" Patchot started walking. "Me? I can never like someone like you! Even I was surprised with what I said."
Patchot faked a laugh. "It's so funny, right?"
She looked at me in the eye. "Right? You even laughed at me that time."
I spoke up "Patchot, I only laughed because-"
"It's weird!" She cut what I was saying. "We're already like a brother and sister!" She added and punched my arm lightly. Patchot suddenly started walking in circles around me.
"And, no offense Ivan but you're not really my type. Okay, maybe all the girls are crazy about you, but I'm not like them. I still don't know what they see in you." There was a silence between us.
"Well, what do you see in me?" I asked, breaking the silence.
Patchot's eyes travelled from my head to toe. "What do I see? There! Those!" Her finger pointed my knees. "Your super thin knees! Look!" She slapped it lightly.
