"Amanai's got a thirty million bounty, huh," Gojo repeated, on the phone with Geto.
"Yup. There's a time limit on the dark web for cursed users. It's until 11 AM tomorrow."
"Geez. And they're saying we don't have enough sorcerers." Gojo looked at the masked people around him on different rooftops, all identical and counting about three or four. "We'd welcome you with open arms, you know."
"Your profession is risky," one rumbled. "Hand over the girl."
"Girl?" Gojo made an 'oho' sound. "Which one, which one? I don't know what you mean. It's two brats I have."
Another, identical to the rest, formed like a puddle rising up before taking shape.
"What're you interested in these brats for?" Smirking, Gojo only raised his hand as if plucking something.
Two clones, pulled into the air, crashed into each other, their bones crunching loudly as their impact scraped against their ears.
"They're not disappearing!"
"They're clones. All of them are the real one."
Kai's eyes spun to life as the world around her slowed considerably.
Kai turned around, tapped Gojo's shoulder, and pulled on his frozen face to look her in the eye.
Gojo blinked, suddenly moving normally. The masked people, one in front and back, were frozen in their steps, but were actually moving extremely slowly in their eyes. Riko was also of the same speed as their attackers.
"Hahaha, I should take pictures of this!" Gojo whipped out his phone, taking pictures of Riko from many angles all at once.
Kai smacked his cheek to focus.
"Ah, right."
In Riko's eyes, all she saw was Gojo's grinning face in front of her for a single moment. Then, the two surprise attackers were blown away, and all the clones fell over.
"Woah! What happened?"
Kai, on Gojo's shoulder, made a little noise and crumpled her face before dropping herself to be caught by Riko. She hugged her tightly, closing her eyes.
"Kai is a very good assist!" Gojo spoke in very accented English.
"What?" Riko deadpanned, holding said kid that was hiding into her shoulder.
"What you just did not see," Gojo began extravagantly, now speaking Japanese, "is one of Kai's family techniques. She sees stuff move really slow, and if she wants, you also see the same thing and end up moving real fast to others. Thing is, she needs to make eye contact and touch her target. I used that and just beat everyone. I even got some dumb photos of you out of it!"
"You did- Delete them!!"
Gojo easily held her head down as he scrolled over the pictures on his phone, whistling.
Kai made little whines that had Riko stop. "What's wrong?"
"It bothers her eyes and leaves her fussy," Gojo said nonchalantly, used to it. "I could've done it alone, but having her just makes it easier!" He laughed, much to her irritation.
An irk mark appeared on Riko's head. "Then don't bring her!!"
"She just needs a nap and she should be fine," Gojo dismissed too easily.
Kai jolted, as if an ice cube fell down her back, just before Riko's phone beeped.
"What's this?" Riko pulled out her phone, receiving a picture from an unknown number.
