I leaned back in the booth at Four Seasons, listening to Felix. I didn't mind talking to him, he was actually a completely different person than I had assumed he was. Or an amazing liar.

Whenever I brought up families though, he seemed to shy away. And that's when I remembered the little girl’s room that I had seen in his home.

He snapped his fingers in my face, "Are you okay?" He asked, "You kind of disappeared there for a while"

"Oh Yeah, I'm fine I was just thinking" I said lamely.

"Alright..." he said hesitatingly, I could tell in his eyes that he wanted to tell me something but felt like he couldn't. I sighed in defeat.

"I should probably get back... I have some work to finish up at home for school before they ship us off for break." I mumbled

"Where are you going for break?"

"If I'm lucky, I will get to stay here" I said looking up into his blue eyes. Immediately, I felt stupid butterflies in my stomach.

"Where else would you go?" He asked probably faking interest.

"I don't know, anywhere in the world pretty much. I might get shipped off to Paris, New York...pretty much anywhere" I said a glum storm cloud rising over the town.

"How come you don't just stay home?"

"I can't, my parents are working through break so they ship me off to have fun somewhere else. When all I really want to do is stay at home." I looked through the window. "I should get back now..." I standing up.

"Okay" he said dropping some money on the table. We walked out and got in to his truck. He stalled for a minute outside the door, I tried to follow his gaze but all I saw were two guys. Looked a lot like Lucas and that other kid he hangs out.

The one beside Lucas made some signal for him, Felix's neck flushed red. He got in and slammed the car door. I flinched and ducked my head. I continued to stare at my lap until I saw a flash of white mansion out of the corner of my eye. When he parked I nodded a goodbye and ran up the steps quickly to my escape.

I sat down on my bed after I closed my door. My phone buzzed from on my bed, "Hello?" I said not bothering to check the Caller I.D.

"Hey How'd it go?" Willow gushed in my ear.

"Fine, how’d you know?" I asked feeling slightly suspicious.

"Oh..." She said clearly hesitating, "About what?"

"About Mystery Man taking me out today" I said, touching my face I realized I still had on his mask. How did he left me sit all day in that little Cafe with this on!?

I slipped his mask off and set it on my pillow. "Oh, I wasn't talking about that" She lied lamely. I scoffed knowing very well that we both knew that she could not lie to me! We were best friends since forever.

"I saw Lucas today" I said changing the subject, "How's it going between you too?"

"It's going good. He's taking me away for Christmas Break." She gushed on. I rolled my eyes, of course.

"So I won't be seeing you at all?" I said dismally.

"Well, it isn't like you were going to stay around" She said rather harshly. I felt like slamming the phone into a wall, in a dramatic way of hanging up on her. I couldn't afford to destroy another phone though.

"Well you never know" I said back through clench teeth, if she could just see the daggers that were shooting through the phone.

"Well I got to go" She said, she didn't even wait for a goodbye before she hung up. I sat there still spitting mad. I closed the phone rather forcefully and dropped it on my bed, still sitting frozen with anger. It bothered me, the way she was always leaving like that.
