I was riding my motorcycle to the cabin resort for summer break to meet up with my friends
"Hey Reiko" A girl with long pink hair and brown eyes waved from the porch of the cabin it was Sakurai my friend since middle school she is always energetic and is obsessed with anime and manga
I parked my bike near the cabin we're staying at it was a large 3 story cabin
my friend Lara had won a 2 week trip for 4 before our summer break was about to start so we all decided to spend the first 2 weeks there
I got off my bike and unload my backpack as Sakurai came down from the front porch
"Reiko you finally made it Opal and Lara are inside setting up"
"Sorry about that the editor wanted to see the latest update on my newest novel"
"I still can't believe you are the Prism Quill your books have been getting popular over the years"
Sakurai was still shocked about my secret job as a writer although I did reveal it to them near the end of our second year of high school
I walked into our cabin and took off my helmet and let my long light blue hair come down and revealing my reddish-orange eyes
Opal the short peach-colored haired girl with the lime green eyes was sitting on the couch looking at the resorts activity sheet and Lara had yellow eyes and her purple hair in a ponytail was just out of her room after settling in
"Reiko you made it we just got finished setting up"
Opal shot up from the couch
"You got to look at this they got river rafting a beautiful hike in the mountains they even got a bathhouse and they sell fruit flavor milk not to mention this restaurant nearby"
Opal eyes sparkle at the many activities we could do on this vacation
"Come on Opal she just got here and it's still early before we can go out"
Lara placed her hand on her hip facing Opal
"It won't take long for me to settle in I just need to set up my stuff in my room"
I smiled as I took my backpack upstairs to my room
the room had a small closet and a desk the window had a nice view of the forest I set my laptop on the desk
'I guess that's all there is to unpacking' I looked out the window and the sun was still up "It's still early afternoon" I mumbled
I went downstairs to the living room of the cabin and everyone was just chilling
well almost Opal and Sakurai were gushing about the many things we can do for the next 2 weeks
"Oh Reiko are your finish settling in"
Lara noticed and smiled
"Yeah I didn't bring too much with me so what should we do first"
"I vote for the hiking trial" Opal shouted shooting her hand up
"I heard there was a beautiful view and cute wild animals it's perfect for some nature shots" Sakurai winked whiled holding her hands like a frame
"That's right Sakurai your love of taking pictures"
"Well I guess our first activity on this trip will be a nice nature hike" Lara clapped her hands
we all got our jackets and shoes ready while Sakurai brought her camera
