TWO days had passed since Stefan was released and Mikael promised to kill Klaus. Scarlett had stopped coming around as Stefan was back to sleeping in his room and Rebekah was living in the Salvatore boarding house. Rebekah, Elena, and all of Stefan's other friends were waiting around and trying to meet the elusive 'Scarlett Maddox, Diamond of Trix', but Scarlett wanted no association with Stefan's friends and ex or one of her exes. She had invited Stefan over to her motel room a few times to try and break him before Klaus came home to be killed but nothing seemed to work. She didn't complain though. She was happy to have some time with him before never seeing him again. He tried to spend the nights over but to save herself from heart ache, she kicked him out.

Now it was Friday and apparently, today was the day that Klaus would be returning home so he could be killed. Guilt flooded her heart, knowing if she just picked up the phone, she could spare his life but the fear of him, his three siblings, and their obsessive love stopped her. She had already called Joslyn to let her know she'd be home in about three hours because of her flight.

As she packed her bag, her phone rang and the caller ID showed Unknown. Although she knew it was a bad idea to answer, she trusted Stefan. He was the only one who had this burner phone number and he liked having her as his kept secret. So she answered, expecting it to be Joslyn. "Scarlett Maddox."

"Hi." An unfamiliar male voice said into the phone. "My name is Tyler Lockwood and I'm a high schooler at Mystic Falls High." Scarlett narrowed her eyes at that. "I'm throwing my school's homecoming dance at my mansion. The gym where we were holding the party was flooded and our band cancelled. I called your burlesque club, Sexy, Sassy, Sultry, and I spoke to Joslyn. I thought that you maybe had a club here in Virginia. I wanted to hire one of your performers but she told me you were here. I was hoping I could hire you for tonight."

"If you spoke to my assistant manager, I'm sure she told you that I'm leaving tonight so no--"

"Please." He said adamantly before clearing his throat. "My family is wealthy. I'm willing to play triple your cost to rent out your club in the city." She raised a brow at that, intrigue on her face. "I have a new band but they're lacking a singer. Please."

"Hm." She pulled her phone away from her ear, texting Joslyn to change her flight. "Fine. I'll sing a song in the beginning and four songs after that. Then I'm out."

"Thank you." He said in relief. "It starts at seven."

"Any particular wardrobe I should know about?"

"No. It's a homecoming dance. Just dress for a high school dance. Thank you again."

Scarlett hung up the phone and smirked at herself. Scarlett only cared about seven things, and in no particular order, it was herself, Joslyn, booze, her club, her sex life, money, and... a Salvatore brother that she knew was off-limits to her for many reasons. She glanced at her bag full of clothes and grimaced. Although her style was her own, she only had things in leather and stuff for her sessions with Stefan.

"I need to go shopping."

SCARLETT spent the whole day getting ready for this dance. Scarlett couldn't help but think about her teenage years and how she never got to experience the high school experience but as she arrived on the Lockwood mansion property, she knew that this wasn't a normal high school experience for these teens. One of the caterers working the party and led her to the back where a rock band was currently playing and everyone was dancing.

Scarlett stood tall with her hair pulled into a high ponytail with ombre-blonde hair as the front right strand of her hair flowed in front of her shoulder. A heart shaped diamond solitaire pendant necklace rested beautifully on her neck as she wore a sexy black lace v-neck spaghetti strap sequin slit custom-made evening dress with sparkly silver strappy heels to match.
