After school, Amethyst got ready for another night of sleeping in school. She hoped Eli would stay awake with her again tonight, but another part of her didn't want him to sacrifice his sleep for her.
Amethyst stopped in her tracks when she saw everyone sitting up in their sleeping bags, with nothing but a single light on in the room.
"What's going on?", asked Amethyst.
"Get into your sleeping bag", said Kennedy.
"I-I... ok.
I'm just going to stay awake for a while though."
"Hurry dude", said a smiling Darius.
Amethyst did as she was told.
"What's going on?", she repeated.
"You'll have to forgive us for butchering the language.
Turns out it's pretty hard to learn another language in a few hours", said Leonie.
Amethyst furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
Leonie looked at the others and nodded to Miss Laine, who pressed play on a video.
Amethyst felt her heart grow and goosebumps appeared on her arms when she listened to the group singing her Mother's song.
Did they get some words wrong? Yes.
Where they off key? Surprisingly not.
Did this mean the world to Amethyst?
It really did.
When the song came to an end, Leonie looked at Amethyst.
"We know it's not the same.
But we thought it'd help you sleep."
"We recorded our version for you as well, just in case you need it after the sleep over", said Eli.
Amethyst felt tears forming in her eyes, so she quickly closed them.
"Amethyst?", called out Camryn.
"Did we upset you?", frowned Leonie.
A laugh escaped Amethyst's lips, and she shook her head.
"No, no you... you didn't upset me."
"Then what is it?", asked Leonie.
Amethyst sighed.
"I... I've never had friends like this before."
When Amethyst's voice broke, Leonie, Weronika, Darius and Eli all rushed to hug her.
The others weren't far behind, and soon Amethyst felt the warmth of 11 hugs.
"Thank you... so much.
My Mum would be happy that I have friends like you."
Seeing how everyone supported her and didn't mock her pain made her realise that she had to do the right thing.
For them.
She had to expose Meredith.

Hi.
The sleep over storyline is hands down one of my favourite's. Everyone comes together for Amethyst and I see this as a real turning point in the group's friendship dynamic.
