Unexpected Love

Part 8

Seokjin's eyes widened as he realized what he was doing. He distanced himself from you as he looked away gulping.

"Don't act stupid." He said calmly and left the place leaving you dumbfounded.

-next day-

"Ms. Y/N? Why didn't you arrive yet?" Seokjin asked you on the phone which your mom picked up for you despite of you ignoring a 100 of his missed calls.

"Ahh- I- I- a-am sick!" You made up an excuse so you don't have to go to work.

It was your birthday and you wanted to spend it in your home resting and throwing a party at night but him being your so called "New boss" had to ruin it all.

"Then I must come to see you." He said on the other side making your eyes go wide.

"Ahh n-no no need. I am fine." You said trying to act exhausted thinking that plan would work.

"No no! I must check up on my secretary in her unwellness. I am coming." He said hanging up as you started jumping on the bed out of nervousness.

"HAPPY BIRTHDA-!" Jennie suddenly came but looked at you confused seeing you running around the room.

"Oh girl! Save me save me save me!" You said totally panicking.

"Shush calm down! What's wrong?" She asked.

"Aish! You know it's my birthday so I wanted to spend today by resting and you know throwing a party later but my boss umm called me for work and I lied that I am sick so he is coming home now!" You said.

"For what?" She asked.

"To see me pabo(fool/dumb in korean)!!" You said totally panicking as she started panicking too.

After 15 minutes of you both panicking for nothing, you heard the door bell ring as you both froze.

"He is here!" Jennie whisper shouted as you started looking everywhere. You jumped on your bed pulling on the duvet as Jennie gestured you to act as if you were sleeping.

Seokjin knocked on your door as Jennie opened it smiling innocently.

"Uhh hello. I am Mr.Kim Seokjin, Ms. Y/N's boss. I am here to see her." He said formally as Jennie looked at him impressed.

"Ahh yes! She is really sick so she is sleeping." Jennie said as Mr.Kim nodded getting inside. He took a seat on the comfy couches in your room while you were praying for your plan to succeed under the duvet.

"I will come back in a while!" Jennie said as your eyes widened under the duvet cursing her as she left.

"Uh. Ms. Y/N. I know you are not sleeping. I had a talk with your dad early this morning so please get out of the bed.

He said making you choke on your breath. But you didn't show any response.

"Ms. Y/N. I will be counting from 1 to 3 and get up within my countdown or else you are getting a punishment."(Eh what punishment? Control your mind lol)

"1...2..." He was stopped by you acting as if you woke up.

"Ahh h-hello Mr. Seokjin. I just got sick like half an hour ago. H-honestly I wanted to come to work b-but I couldn't." You said as he looked at you with an "are.you.serious" already fed up face.

"Aish I am back. Y/Nah! Let's check your temperature?" Jennie said as you looked at her confused.

She gestured her eyes telling you that she heated the temperature and it would make Seokjin believe that you are actually sick.

"A-ah ok." You said as Jennie tried to hold her laughter. She put the thermometer. Seokjin just looked at you two girls doing their useless jobs.

Jennie took out the thermometer and made a shocked face.

"Oh no! Girl! Take some rest! It's your birthday right?" Jennie said making you shut your eyes closed which made Seokjin smirk.

"Birthday?" Seokjin asked obvious that he succeeded.

"Yeah it's her birthday." Jennie said but her voice almost faded at the end seeing you glare at her.

Although you and Seokjin weren't that close but he knew you were the one to pretend to be sick just to enjoy their birthday. He surely dealt with these.

"I will leave!" Jennie awkwardly said leaving you guys alone as you looked down pouting.

"Ahem ahem. So what punishment should we get for acting sick to enjoy their birthday?" He asked as you smiled innocently at the ground.

"You missed your first day at work as my secretary. That too by acting sick. Now what should we do?" He sounded just like your school principal making you wonder if he was that grumpy old school principal of yours. But he didn't look that old.

"Aigo! Come on! It's my birthday. Spare me please!" You asked but his smirk just grew wider.

You thought he would give you alot of work but what he said next made you want to cry.

"Clean your messy room." He said making you choke.

"What type of punishment is that?" You asked confused.

"Act old. You will get old punishments. Act like a kid, you'll get those childish punishments." He said making you scoff.

"Hah! Grumpy principal." You said as he glared at you.

But sighed leaving the room as he knew you were of no use to argue with.

You cleaned your room after making some more mess as you got ready for office.

"Let's go Ms.Y/N." He said smiling. Something more of a smirk.

"Yeah yeah." You said while your mom and dad were chuckling to themselves understanding the situation.

-At the office-

"Ouch!!" You whined as a few files and books fell on your head while you were trying to take them out.

"What's wrong?" Seokjin asked as you rubbed your head. He look at the files bluntly as you whined.

"Aaaa help me!" You said but he just gave you the blunt stare but not the ice cold one.

"Get up shortie." He said extending his hand as you glared at him but had to extend your hand cause it was the only way to get up from the mess.

"Clean up the mess by 2. I will give you more work later. And don't mess the office again." He said leaving the office as you mumbled curses for his cold behaviour.
