chapter 1: daydreaming

Liv sits on the floor and sighs. She has migrated to the floor because she is so bored during online school. She is daydreaming again. She dreams of running away to a cottage in the woods with her girlfriend, but she had not yet found the perfect girlfriend to do this with.

She hoped that her girlfriend would be beautiful, and someone who liked having fun and going on adventures, and even better if they were someone who was willing to sacrifice themself to Michael Langdon with Liv, but that was not as important.

"Turn to page 394", the teacher says, interrupting Liv's thoughts. She is angry at her teacher for interrupting her daydream but she turns to page 394 in the textbook in her house obediently. She sighs and takes another sip of the delicious coffee she has made herself.

The teacher keeps talking, but Liv isn't quite sure what they are saying as she is pretending to read the book but actually absorbed in her daydreams once again. The book says something about a change in energy. All Liv can think is how she is so tired that she barely feels like she has any energy. She yawns. She will have to get some more coffee later. She turns the page absentmindedly, not taking in the words on the page at all. Suddenly, she gets a notification on her phone. She picks it up to check under the screen, glad to have something to distract her from the textbook, which might be the most dull thing she has ever read.

Her phone is notifying her that "@jessweaselbee started following you". She wonders who this "jessweaselbee" is but she decides to go back to daydreaming and check out this new girl's page later. She turns back to her book, attempts to keep reading, and with a sigh, gives up completely. "I guess I'll take a quick look and see who this girl is".

She grabs her phone stealthily and goes to the new girl's profile. The first thing she notices is how pretty the girl is. Soon, the teacher is announcing that class is over and that Liv and the rest of her classmates are allowed to leave. Liv decides to take a nap in between classes. As soon as she falls asleep, she starts dreaming. All she remembers of her dream the next day is that she was living in her cottage in the woods with a girl, but she can't remember who the girl is. She does not think much of it and continues living her life just like she normally would. The only difference is that she keeps hearing a strange voice, but she doesn't worry about this too much. Although, she has also been smelling a pleasant smell unlike anything she has ever smelled before, so maybe all this does mean something.
