Please, love god, shower me with your divine blessings. I traveled thousands of miles to be here because I have heard that this is the best place to pray for and find true love! So please have mercy on me!
I am begging the love god, Okuninushi- a Japanese matchmaking god. Yes, I flew 6889 miles from New York to here. That is how desperate I am.
Why?
I want to change my fate. Everyone in my family says that fate is what I am given. But I don't like what I am given. I don't want to have the same fate as my grandmother, aunts, cousins, and mother. All of them were married to someone arranged for them since birth.
Don't get me wrong; I love my father. He is the best! I am lucky to have my mom and dad as my parents. I am thankful that I have both of them.
I believe marriage shouldn't be forced, contracted, predetermined, or arranged.
I want to feel the love! I want to love and be loved! I want to find "the one" my heart will fall for. I want to prove to my family that I can marry and be happy in LOVE!
I am determined. I will change my fate. I will find my destiny.
And this is where my story started.

I am a great believer in love, but unlike the usual hopeless romantic, I don't wait around for love to fall in my lap. Instead, I look for opportunities to both give and receive love."
