It's been a week since I came back from Kyoto. God knows I miss Fate terribly! That night, I tried so hard not to embrace and kiss her. But I just can't. I cannot let her leave for New York without her knowing how I feel about her. Since then, there has never been a day that I didn't think about her.
I regretted telling her I was engaged after I saw the hurt on her face. I fought hard not to take it back. Being honest with her about my relationship status is what I want to do. But I wouldn't lie, seeing how disheartened she had pained me more than when she told me she doesn't have a boyfriend. Is she lying? Why would she lie?
I disregarded the conversation between us in the restaurant the night before. Instead, I will come and see her again the next day, and I will tell her how I feel about her. "To hell with the engagement!" But instead of surprising her, it frustrated me when I returned to her hotel the next day. The front desk staff told me she checked out at 6 AM because she was already flying back to New York.
From Kyoto to Tokyo, I took the earliest shinkansen. I couldn't stay another hour there with the regrets and frustration that I was feeling at that moment. I promised myself I would never set foot in Kyoto again, but I will keep that memory in Kyoto as hers and mine---only ours.
I will stay true to my word that we will always have Kyoto for ourselves.

"Hello, Dad."
" Hello, Son. How are your preparations for our trip going on?"
"I am still here in Tokyo, Dad. I don't think I can make it to fly with you and mom. But a day after, I will follow."
"I don't think there will be a problem. But did you talk to your mom about the changes in your engagement details?
"Not yet. What changes, Dad?"
"They agreed to have the wedding in six months. So you will be a married man in six months, Son! I guess your prayer in Jishu worked well. They agreed to our suggested dates instead of the year they proposed last time."
"Is that for real, Dad?"
" Yes, Son. Make sure to finish all your appointments in our Tokyo office as soon as possible."
"I will surely do that. You made me the happiest today."
" Okay then, I won't take much of your time. I can't stay long on the phone as well. See you then. Take care!"
"Thanks, Dad! Kiss mom for me. Take care! Bye!"

I guess it is happening. Fortunately, my future in-laws pushed the engagement and wedding earlier than I expected.
Why can't I stop thinking about you, Fate Wilson?
I wonder how you are doing right now. Every day I fight my longingness for you.
Are you thinking of me too?
Meeting you is the best thing that happened to me. You will always have a special place in my heart.
