“Park Jimin’s been keeping an eye on you.”

This simple sentence is how Jungkook ends up in the infirmary with two black eyes and a broken arm.

But really, Taehyung shouldn’t have said something like that to him while he was working on a particularly explosive potion. His words startled Jungkook enough to make his hand slip along the rim of a bottle, causing the majority of the contents to spill into the bubbling liquid, and a split second later a burst of purple light exploded in his vision and now…

Now he’s in the infirmary, sipping gingerly at skelegro and resisting the urge to gag at the taste as he glares at Taehyung.

“How was I supposed to know you were going to react like that?” Taehyung asks, flicking his navy and grey scarf over his shoulder.

“Uh, I dunno, maybe because it’s Park fucking Jimin?”

Taehyung drops onto the bed beside Jungkook, jostling his injured arm in the process and mumbles a half-hearted apology when Jungkook winces. “So about that, I overheard the Slytherin Head Boy-”

“Yoongi,” fills in Jungkook.

Taehyung’s face turns all soft, eyes crinkling in the corners when he murmurs, “Yeah, Yoongi.”

“Oh my god. Anyway.”

“Right, anyway, I overheard Yoongi telling Jimin to stay away from you, since the Gryffindor-Slytherin game is coming up next week and if Jimin has his way with you, everyone knows you won’t be recovered in time for the match-”

“And if Gryffindor’s best Seeker is out of commission for the game people are going to think Jimin rigged it,” Jungkook finishes for him, face hot ever since Taehyung mentioned Jimin ‘having his way with him,’ and what that might mean.

He has a pretty good idea of what it means based on everyone apparently thinking he’ll be out of commission after spending some time with Jimin.

Pleasure curls in Jungkook’s lower belly at the thought.
