*Present Day*

The sound of the school bell echoed throughout the room and the rest of the school. Finally! I could escape from those little brats. The Turner Twins. They were in almost every class with me, sat almost right beside me in every one. All they would do the entire lesson was poke fun at me and tease me, sometimes directing malicious flirts at me. I'd try to ignore them, but it was so hard.

Although, what was even harder was controlling the little voice in the back of my head that kept telling me to stop resisting the urge that I was feeling. The urge to just slit open their throats in front of the entire class and watch as they fell to the ground, suffering as the blood spilled out from their open wound, slowly draining away the life from their bodies. It was so tempting, yet, I don't know why. No one else I knew had this urge and I'd seem crazy if I asked.

I rose to my feet, shoving my textbooks into my bag before rushing out of the classroom before the twins had chance to follow. Once I reached my locker, I saw my friends standing there staring at it. What on earth were they doing?! I wandered over to them to see what they were staring at. When I neared them, I realised what it was, it was another note from them.

You see, ever since I was little, I've been recieving notes from these people I don't really know. Despite the fact that I had no idea who they were, I unconsciously trusted them and considered them family since they'd been in my life for so long and their notes and presents always helped me forget about things like the Turner Twins, for example.

At that moment, Lea; my best friend, turned around to face me with a confused look adorned on her face and the note in her hands,

"Whats this Winter...?"

My other friends: Kaitlyn and Hailey, turned around to face me as well, the same look on their faces. I guess I had to tell them. I was hoping I never would, but looks like this time I didn't get to my locker quick enough to take it down. She held out the note in her hand so I could read it. At the bottom it was marked 'JTK', since their was more than one of them, in fact their was quite a few. When I finished reading the message written on it I smiled and laughed, much to the confusion of my friends. It read:

Those guys are real idiots aren't they? I honestly feel sorry for you. Anyway, I don't have much time today Scissor, so I'll write another later or at some point. Don't fall into any buses on the way home!

The buses thing was inside joke between me and 'JTK' from the time when I wrote back and accidently said I fell into a bus instead of a bush. They found it hilarious. As for the name Scissor, it was a nickname they all gave me a long time ago, I have absloutely no idea why, they suggested it! I realised I was still smiling like a madman and lost in my own thoughts and blushed,

"Does somebody have a boyfriend...?" smirked Hailey, folding her arms over her chest whilst Lea and Kaitlyn nodded in sync.

"N-no! Thats just...someone I know," I said, trying to avoid the subject.

The smirks stayed plastered across their faces as we walked over to my house. They wouldn't shut up about it the entire way home and insisted I told them the truth, they were really getting on my nerves. I couldn't just tell them they were random people who have been writing notes to me and sending me presents ever since I was a kid! Like they'd believe that!

Instead of listening, I began fiddling with the scissors in my hand, attempting to blank out the world around me. I loved scissors, it was just a weird obsession I always had, so it was ironic they decided to nickname me that! Although, this blanking out thing wasn't working at all. I could hear every word perfectly clearly and each one seemed to get to me.

Eventually, I lost it. I stopped dead in the street, causing my friends to hault too, then span around in my spot, my scissors outstretched in my hand and cut a deep scar into Lea's wrist. She shrieked in pain and glared horribly at me. Not a playful glare, a real, hard glare you'd give your life-long enemy, not your best friend. Then it hit me.

I'd just sliced open her wrist. I'd hurt her terribly. She'd never forgive me, and by the looks on Kaitlyn and Haileys faces, they'd probably never forgive me either. They rushed to her side to assist her but she never looked away from me. She was angry, no scratch that, she was fuming, as she grimaced in pain from open cut in her skin that was bleeding heavily.

Then I did something I really shouldn't have done. Instead of apologising, I returned her glare and spoke up,

"Never do that again. I'm warning you..."

And with that, I stormed of down the street, before turning the next corner to my house and sitting down on my doorstep, letting the realisation hit me and the tears stream down my face. As I sat, alone and cold, sobbing away my problems, a voice spoke up from in front of me on the street,

"Hey, cheer up kid, its not your fault, you just lost your temper with her, she had it coming,"

The person sat down beside me and wrapped an arm around me but never once did I look up to see who it was. Then from inside the house behind me, I heard quickly paced footsteps nearing the door, causing the person to jump up to their feet and take of running, but seconds before they did, I thanked them, waiting for the door behind to swing open to reveal the face of my mother.
