One day a bird flew out
And went on a long journey south
Searching for a new home
It found a tree with strong branches
So the bird decided to take its chances
Settled down and build a nest
So it could take its well deserved rest
The tree the bird had carefully picked
Provided it food and shelter, they really clicked
A beautiful tree like no other
To the bird a nurturing mother
During the heavy summer rains
And during the cold winter storm
A place to keep safe and warm
The bird would occasionally fly out
To see the world and freely roam
Knowing that it now has a place to return home
