I'd been right about it being over since in the next few days all the Isle ever played on TV was reruns of Uma and Mal fighting it out between dragon fire and tentacles before you saw King Ben jump in the water and talk them down with Uma giving him back his ring then disappearing beneath the water and all we heard from the Isle after that was the music and fireworks from the yacht meaning once again the rest of us were left stranded on this island with no hope of getting off.

Apart from everyone's hope being lost again Harry and I haven't spoken since that night and it wasn't from a lack of effort since any time I approached him he'd ignore me and disappear on me and I knew I had no one to blame but myself so after a few days of trying I gave up and haven't left the lair in weeks much to my Dad's dismay as he hated having me moping around only leaving when we needed supplies but it was enough to notice the changes that went on with various signs announcing that new villain kids were being given a chance to go to Auradon with Evie, Jay, Carlos and of course Mal being at the center of all the propaganda even calling it VK day.

I didn't even bother to fill out an application since I was never getting off this Isle, I swiped some food off a vendors cart heading for another when I bumped into someone and before I'd even had the chance to yell something at them my eyes widened when I saw the purple hair.

"Hadley" Mal said as I glared at her and turned to walk away but she grabbed my hand. "Hadley wait!"

"Let go of me!" I exclaimed turning and shoved her.

"Hadley please-"

"What?" I scoffed.

"I want to apologize for what I said all those years ago, for turning my back on you" she said and I actually laughed for the first time in weeks.

"You really think I care about your apologies" I spat at her. "Or even want to put the past behind us"

"Your my sister" she practically whispered and I wanted to laugh again.

"So what, as far as I'm concerned you don't exist so leave me alone or you might just find yourself swimming with Tick-Tocks descendants again" I smirked as I remembered Mad Maddie telling me about how she threw Mal to them once before then I turned and ran off jumping the fire escapes onto the roofs jumping from roof to roof ignoring the singing that started up behind me for VK day since unlike everyone else I wasn't leaving my future in the hands of those four and begging them to pick me when I knew it was never going to happen since like my father told me they couldn't risk my powers in Auradon and I'd come to terms with this barrier always being in my way.

I stopped with a clear view of the gate between the Isle and Auradon watching as everyone danced and celebrated before it all ceased and I watched and listened as Mal and the others chose the next four to go ashore.

"I can't believe this day has finally arrived!" Evie yelled. "I honestly wish we could take you all with us and someday...very soon maybe we can" she added and I scoffed.

"Yeah were gonna be back here so many times you're gonna be so sick of us" Mal added and I couldn't help laugh since I was sick of them already as it's all I've been hearing for weeks now.

"Can I get a drum roll please?!" Evie yelled out and everyone began stamping their feet. "First I would like to begin with the granddaughter of Lady Tremaine, daughter of Drizella my sweet...sweet friend, my Dizzy" I rolled my eyes since as if that wasn't predicable.

"Next is son of Smee, come on Squeaky" Carlos added reading out his chosen kid and I actually felt bad for the twins being split up.

"And no way were splitting up the twins so get over here Squirmy, come on" Jay added and I rolled my eyes but at least that was one silver lining to this whole thing.
