Cascade watched anxiously as Andrea continued to talk in her sleep.

"Denecay Dunes, Denecay Dunes, Denecay Dunes..." Andrea was saying, over and over again without stop. Cascade had no idea what was happening. But she did know what the Denecay Dunes were. If she had been asked to, she could have written an essay on the Denecay Dunes. But then, she knew enough about everything to write an essay on almost anything. She shook Andrea to try to wake her, but Andrea would not wake.

Why is Andrea thinking of the Denecay Dunes? In fact, before Andrea had started muttering, Cascade had been asleep, and she had seen a vision of the Denecay Dunes. When Andrea had started to mutter in her sleep, Cascade had woken immediately, as she was a light sleeper.

How is it that we were both thinking of the Denecay Dunes at the same time? This is so strange. I know Andrea doesn't know a single thing about the Denecay Dunes, or even knows that they exist. We never learned about them in school, and the only reason I know about them was because there was a week last year when I had been obsessed with the country of Moraindia, and had not found enough research to satisfy my questions...

I had snuck into the restricted section of the library and read about the Denecay Dunes with a book that I found there. Then I had queried one of the Moraindian teachers on everything she knew about the Denecay Dunes.

That poor Moraindian teacher.

Anyway. There's almost no way that Andrea could have found out about the Denecay Dunes. Andrea doesn't care for studying. She cares for being able to fight, climb, and dance well. It's so strange that Andrea is thinking about the dunes at all, and even stranger that she's thinking about it at the same time as I.

Now Cascade sighed. She looked out the small window on the wall and saw that it was still early. She yawned, and suddenly the image of the Denecay Dunes appeared in her head. She felt a sudden pull towards it and stood unthinkingly. She started to walk towards the direction of the Denecay Dunes. Suddenly, she banged into the wall. The vision cleared.

"What...?" Cascade blinked a few times to clear her head.

I just walked into a wall. I was pulled towards the Denecay Dunes.

Cascade sighed. "I need to go there. There's something important there, something secret. Something related to our powers." Cascade looked at Andrea, who was still muttering quietly. "If Andrea is also having the visions, then that means that any other people with powers like ours would have the vision as well. Then I... we could meet them!" Cascade realized. I need to wake Andrea.

Cascade put a hand on Andrea's shoulder and shook her as hard as she could. Andrea didn't wake.

"I'm sorry, Andrea." Cascade whispered. Then she took a ball of water from a canteen hanging next to the bed and splashed it on Andrea's face, wincing as she did so, knowing that the water was freezing cold.
"AAAAAAH!" Andrea sat up in the bed. Her leg swung over the edge of the bed in a fast motion and Andrea assumed a fighting stance.

"Andrea, It's just me. I brought you in for the night." Cascade smiled like she usually did, a fake smile, but a believable one, with good intentions behind it.

Andrea started to slowly advance forward in the room. Her hair was open, as it had been drying, and it was glowing faintly, with small flames rising up from it. Her fists were engulfed in bright flame as she held them up in front of her. Now she was only a few feet away from Cascade.

Cascade wanted to back away, but she knew that she shouldn't.

It would only encourage Andrea.
